Craving Empanadas found this gem tucked away in a shopping plaza in St.Charles and boy did it payoff. First off, they need to... raise the price from $2.99 to $4.99, the food is well worth the price big time. Sophie and her family are so friendly &personable to their customers even if it's take out. We ordered Chicken & Beef Empanadas and lordy from the homemade pastrydough with great crunch to the tasty spice and lots of meat. For Vegans the Spinach Empanada was just as scumptous as both theChicken & Beef. Did I mention the family makes them fresh daily. They are doing Festivals in Tower Grove along with SolardMarket, check the mout food is scumptous and such a cheap eat. Read more
Loved these empanadas!!! A good amount of variety with some rich flavor. These things aren't dry at all. Worth visiting! The Argentinian empanadas are delicious. They are palm sized so we ordered a dozen for a table of three (4... each). They let us mix and match to try more flavors. My favorite was the beef and raisins, which surprised me. The tuna onewas also tasty with the vegetables coming through. Honorable mention was the butternut squash, which was creamy. I did not likethe creamy corn as it didn't have a distinct seasoning or flavor. Interior is clean, including the bathroom. Service isfriendly and fast. The AC is a bit strong, which I liked, but one of my friends needed to get a cardigan from the car, but she'salso from central Florida. Read more
Our first visit was this past weekend. I cannot rave enough about how wonderful the empanadas are! We (party of three), decided... that our favorite flavors are spicy beef and spicy chicken. I got the creamy corn and my daughter got the squash. They were goodbut not something we'd order again. They cost $2.99 each and we each ordered four. The service was super friendly and fast.
