Wait staff was slow, rolled their eyes at me for being confused and being unpleased 1. The extra side i was forced to buy was... out of stock and 2. They couldnt just knock it off and were going to charge me regardless, had to make substitute. Got eyesrolled for being a little annoyed after having to wait long post ordering dinner while party complained to me they orderedforever go;then we find out we got the order finally "put in" thirty minutes later on a night with no one there. Took forever toeven put order in, front staff couldn't pass on simple message to waiter to bring separate checks, had to ask multiple tim3s.This isn't the same schnitzel and co that closed, won't be going back. Waited 45 mins for our table , once seated we waited atleast another 15 min before a waitress asked us if anyone had taken our... order . We ordered an appetizer with her , waited some more time before our waiter had come over to take our order . A halfhour passed still no appetizer total wait time for dinner 1hr 15 min . Ordered the Reuben and for waiting all that time youwould think it would've been over the top delish and it was horrible dry chunks of corned beef. 6:30 reservation, got there at 6:20, seated at 6:50 after asking hostess again. Another group seated after us got water, drinks... and started receiving food vrfire our waitress even visited us, another table seated and had service before us. Asked hostessagain, then a waitress came to the table. Other diners left due to lack of service. We ordered drinks and dinner and the'free' pretzel and cheese. Got that. Pretzel was good. Cheese was good. Mustards were off the shelf, instead of real Germanmustard. The bar had some beers on the menu but was out if several. Taps were not working right, making half a beer foam. Iunderstand this was their first night open. Seems management needs to do a lot of training of the staff. Our waitress forgotthe bread and honey butter listed on the menu, we had to ask. Never were offered water. So, the food? The entrees were verygood. Weiner schnitzel and jagger schnitzel were cooked perfectly. Jaager schnitzel needed more gravy. The sides, potatopancakes and spaetzle could use flavor/seasoning. Will we go back? Maybe, but will give them time to get their act together. Read more
Re-Opening night...what a mess. Got there 5:45 pm place was half empty. Finally got food at 7:00 pm, one table that got there... before us, never got served and left. Management completely missed the boat on this re-opening night. Food was so-so. We willnot be returning. Read more
This German potato salad rivals my sister's! Said my German-roots hubby. The schnitzel needed a little salt, but easily fixed.... Great sausages, stout, and apple strudel! Cute atmosphere too. Alex was a great waiter. Read more
Loved the food here. Prices alittle pricey. My entree of chicken with spaetzle and red cabbage was really tasty. The size of thw... chicken was a good portion. Another entree ordered the fish fry. Large sized fish with spaetzle too. Did not try the apple coleslaw that came with the dish. Bread served with the meals were small baguette slices of white and pumpernickel. This was servedwith honey butter. Atmosphere inside was very nice. German mugs and cans from different beers that are not very well known wasused for decoration. I will definitely be going back. Also ordered was a pretzel with cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was good.It was not the usual beer cheese sauce instead this was a mild tasting cheese. Read more
My family arrived to a very gracious host who guided us to our table. The decor reminded us of our time in Germany last summer.... our server Lisa was delightful and informed us that there was a beer tasting event the night prior and a few items wereunavailable. Nonetheless we were all able to order something delicious. To our surprise a complementary warm pretzel withsavory beer cheese was delivered as a result of the unavailable items. Oktoberfest was a total disappointment. I came from Rochester to go with a friend. It said our reservation was 6:30 and food... started at 7pm. Well it was done buffet style in alphabetical order by last names. So we were last. We didn't get any foodtill a little after 8pm and by then there was hardly anything left. We didn't get meatballs at all. The potato pancakes wereburnt. The pretzel appetizer came out at the same time and were hard as a rock when we got to them. The desert was a sliver ofa streusal. Basically a total disaster. A total waste of $30. It was outside in a tent. They did have heat but it was stillvery cold. Drinks wee separate. Read more
