It was a dream come true, to have our daughter's wedding reception at the Inn at Burklyn. The property has been thoughtfully... and lovingly restored and updated, by new owners who have poured their hearts into bringing the Burklyn Mansion back to itsturn-of-the-century glory. Jim and Macri Crone have given a gift to the entire community by restoring this property; tirelesslyinvesting their gifts and talents, by recreating the elegance and charm of a bygone era. Right from the start, our guestsdelighted in the spectacular surroundings on the wide veranda that wrapped around the mansion, while gazing out at the gorgeous, manicured gardens and dramatic hilltop views. Our dinner was prepared by their own chef, who produced exquisitely flavored andartfully plated courses, which were perfectly timed and served by their excellent staff. We so appreciated Jim and Marci'sattentive presence during our event. They ensured that everything proceeded according to their very high standards. We werestruck by their willingness to work alongside their team, lending moral support and extra hands if needed. Tonya, the manager, was also a pleasure to work with, helping us through the planning process without stress, and with a cheerful willingness tohelp us make this special day most memorable. We will return again and again to enjoy this wonderful venue, looking forward toreliving the fond memories that we will always cherish. Read more

Our wedding day was special and everyone loved the Inn and grounds and we received a ton of positive unsolicited feedback and... many asked us for the name and address of the Inn just from our FB posts. This place is a 5+ star location!!!! The staff wasgreat and accommodating and always asked guests what they can get for them. Made everyone feel like a VIP. Switching up theceremony and dinner location was a great idea and worked great! The rooms and décor was amazing! Owner did a great jobrenovating the place. Everything looks brand new with top quality materials and attention to detail. The technology that theowner put into the Inn to preserve the past while adding the current safety features is amazing even for me as a mechanicalengineer! The water pressure in the showers is incredible. The food was amazing!!!!! The ground upkeep was amazing! Lovedthe private intimate setting away from others. We liked that we could book the entire place. We will likely go again and bookentire place with family and/or friends. We will be talking about the place forever!!!!! The only thing to keep in mind withthis location is that there is no air-conditioning. They do have fans that work great, but ask for room with multiple windowsif the weather is going to be warm. You may also want to bring a window fan. Read more

My husband and stayed here for 1 night during our vacation. Everything about The Inn at Burklyn was incredible. When we arrived... we were greeted and helped by the young girl working the front desk. By the time we arrived it was just about dinner time so weasked for a recommendation on a place to go eat. This was our first time to the area so it was really great being pointed to afew options. The grounds were beautiful and the Inn was meticulous. You could tell a lot of thought had been given whenrenovating. After dinner we went back to the Inn and enjoyed a glass of wine and a board game on the porch. It was a beautifulevening. We met the owner Jim who was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The home cooked breakfast the next morningwas superb! I hope to get another chance to go back to the Inn at Burklyn and stay a few more days. I highly recommend stayinghere if you are in the area. We have stayed at many of the top inn in VT and NH and thought the Inn at Burklyn is our new favorite. The huge renovated 1908... mansion sits atop a hill and is just stunning as are the grounds and views. The owner?s put their heart and sole into restoringthe house to its original grandeur, leaving most of the original woodwork, flooring, light fixtures, and hardware. The attentionto detail was surprising. The inn?s owner Jim is super friendly and attentive. He is more than happy to answer questions aboutthe house, local area, and talk about the house renovation process. The inn manager, Tanya and all the other workers veryfriendly as well. Unfortunately, Jim?s wife was out of town so we did not get to meet her. This beautiful place is very popularfor weddings and mountain bikers in the warm months so book well in advance for a summer or fall stay. If you want peace andquiet, winter is a great option. We had the entire mansion to ourselves in mid-February, except each evening when folks arrivedfor drinks and a great dinner at the restaurant. Dinner time provided a great opportunity to meet people. The restaurant isvery good. We recommend booking a reservation during your stay. The restaurant is quite popular across the area, so be sure tobook well ahead. We highly recommend the inn at Burklyn if you are looking for luxurious and relaxing accommodations innorthern Vermont. Read more

My husband and I had a lovely visit at Burklyn Inn mid week in January. From our arrival through the heavy wooden door leading... into a stunning front hall warmed by a sedate fire, until our departure where we were personally guided to our vehicle across athoughtfully de-iced porch, the service and accommodations were flawless. Marci and Jim are consummate hosts; it was a pleasureto spend time with them learning about the history of the Inn, and especially about their comprehensive renovations of a jewelof a building. These renovations are museum quality, ranging from the woodwork and mechanical systems to the furniture andstunning fabrics . All reflect the careful approach of the owners and the artisans they chose. The Inn enjoys a wonderful chefand staff, and offers a strong wine cellar, with some vintages rarely found outside urban locales. Add all this to a hilltopsite with magical views, and you have all the required ingredients for the good life. Read more

How does the saying go? You can?t buy time? Well what about history?? Seems like Jim and Marci were able to buy the perfect... slice of history right here in Vermont and we just feel so lucky to have been able to share in it! My husband and I stayed here4 nights for our honeymoon in early December and we were just blown away by every detail. Every room is decorated perfectly in away that compliments the history this place has to offer. Someone is always around to start a fire or offer you something todrink and everyone made us feel right at home. And don?t even get us started on the food!! John and Emma and whoever else is inthe kitchen helping just absolutely blew us away with their incredible food and kindness. Thanks to Ann, Angie, Tonya, Bella, and so many others that made us feel like family. And of course big thanks to Jim for always being open to share stories andgive the inn such character. We so look forward to visiting again in the future. Since you can?t buy more time we?d certainlyrecommend spending some of yours at this special place, disconnecting, and enjoying your time with those you love. Read more
