I had to go to the ER very late at night recently. I got discharged from the hospital a few minutes before midnight, so I missed... the opportunity to get something to eat from pretty much anywhere that was remotely close to me. I hadn't eaten for about 10hours, was starving, and after searching, this local Waffle House was the only place still open. I got some waffles, bacon, andhash browns. I wish I could rate ONLY this experience? but I can?t. I had given HER 1 star? but it wasn?t fair to the establishment. The... restaurant itself is 3.5 - 4 stars in speed and friendly service. Also, It?s usually a good place to eat? and not to demean thefine cooks and other pleasant servers that regularly work there very hard. I have eaten there dozens of times with friends andfamily and maybe I caught the waitress Misty on a bad day? but, she was rude. She even yelled at me.. and all I asked her forwas ?sweet and low?. She heard Splenda?. But in my life, I?ve never asked for it. She made a commotion and it was embarrassing. She should learn to be nice or be in a different line of work. I asked for coffee with cream and sweet and low and water noice. She brought coffee with no cream and ice water. I asked for no ice? she threw the water in the sink with a loud splash.Then forgot the cream and sweetener. I always ask for sweet and low, and did that day. When she did return with the sweetener,it was Splenda. I said I never use Splenda. She says I know what I heard. And I said, ?I have never ordered Splenda in my life?. She said don?t argue with me at the top of her voice . Maybe she had a bad day. But that?s not my fault. And that?s notservice?and you certainly should not tip to be insulted and yelled at. When I asked for the basics ..she was rude. I?ve had herbefore, and she was a joy. She was cheerful and singing. This literally was like a bipolar episode. She was ?Mr Hyde?. AvoidMisty. She?s hit or miss from reviews and from this personal experience. Also, when it was time to pay, she and the otherwaitress did not want to take my payment. Childish behavior. This was a very weird experience for me. I am usually an excessivetipper, upwards of 25% or more. The last time on the same order of 11 dollars, I gave her a 4 dollar tip. Been to this waffle house many times over the last few years and this was the worst experience I have ever had here. When we... walked in half the restaurant was closed off and as we waited the red headed waitress spent most of her time talking to peopleor out back where the cook joined her half the time while 1 waiter named Tony ran everywhere doing everything.
