Meritage is probably my favorite restaurant in RI. Every time I come here the service and food is above and beyond. The dining... room is always so clean, well kept and cozy. The #1 thing that keeps me coming back is the mango margarita it's always soconsistent and absolutely delicious. I always order the tuna Napoleon for an appetizer it's so amazing. Every entree I've hadhas been hot fresh and made to order. I had my birthday dinner here on Friday night (11/4) and could not be more pleased withthe entire night. It was $100 for a dinner with my girlfriend. After being seated it took about 5 minutes to get waters. Another 5 to order our... drinks at which point I had to request bread. The bread came in another 10 minutes. We tried ordering at that time knowing itmay take a while to get our food and had to wait while the waiter tended to something else first. 30 minutes in we were finallyable to order. After about 20 more minutes of waiting we got our appetizers. 20 more minutes went by and our food didn’t comeyet - but we did request a dessert menu to order dessert when our dinner came (again to avoid a long wait). The waiter forgotthe dessert menu by the time the food came (now about 75 minutes in). At this point we just wanted the check ASAP to leave.Towards the end of our dinner the staff was also banging plates into the bins they use to clean to get the food off of theplates (very loudly). I’m not a picky guy. If this meal cost $60-70 (I did get lobster and shrimp), it would have been4-stars as the food was great. The service on the other hand, for what seemed to be an upscale restaurant, was horrible. For abit higher price we could have went to capital grille, received even better quality food and top notch service. Read more
Meritage never disappoints. I have never had something I didn't like here.

I came here yesterday for an event and absolutely everything I had was delicious... bread, salad, pizza, salmon, all soo good!... My favorite is the dessert pizza. It sounds so strange but so freaking yummy! I think it's bananas and blueberries? Whatever itis, it works! Read more

Thr bead provided is served hot and fresh! Calamari has a very nice crunch and great flavor combined with the pepperoncini!! The... restaurant seems very clean and orderly. Kinda dark, could use some more light. Mash potatoes are delicious, ribeye cookedperfectly!! Highly recommend the Hibiscus Sangria margarita!! You'd be a fool not to order the Creme Brulee. Good food, prices fair, I ordered shish kabob with scallops, shrimp, and beef. The beef was cooked well done, the scallops were... dried out as were the shrimp. A very good dish turned into a disappointment. All the other food served was very good. Read more
