As someone that managed huge restaurants and bars in NYC & Chicago, the number one rule is to never allow an event to overshadow... or bother your restaurant guests. Two separate entities.\nShould have turned around and left when the entrance was blocked forreal estate brokers filming and needed to walk through pebbles to enter the restaurant.\nWas placed by a bar with overflowing, drunk event attendees.\nAs someone VERY familiar with Turkish food I’ll give the vegetarian dishes 9/10 but the kebabs werebland and tasteless.\nI walked outside prior to dessert arriving due to the chaotic scene behind me that kept banging into ourtable and chair.\nManagement needs to step up their logistics because it seemed everyone in the restaurant wasn’t thrilled atall.\nManager tried to be apologetic after he realized I had left when my husband paid the check but should have been aware ofwhat was occurring for more than an hour. Tried El Turco for the first time Friday evening and had a wonderful time! The ambiance is nice, the staff is knowledgeable and... friendly (better than most summer help) and the food stole the show. Highlights included the Babaganoush (best I’ve EVER had)and the Mayor Kebab shared by my man and my Mom. The owner even introduced himself and sent over a dish, he was so kind andreally cares about his customers experience. We will most definitely be back, add this delicious restaurant to your list of mustgo’s this summer! Read more

We like to try new places in East Hampton and were excited to see a new Turkish restaurant. It’s very attractive inside with... well-spaced tables and beautiful bar and lovely covered outside patio. The salads are huge and one salad can be shared. I hadthe El Turco salad to start and it was very good, chunks of beefsteak tomatoes, onions and wonderful feta. My husband had asimilar salad that was more like a chopped tomato salad, also lovely. I was craving lamb chops and ordered them. Out came fourperfectly cooked lamb chops with rice. I highly recommend them. My husband had the chicken shish kebab and the chicken was tastyand tender. As we were stuffed, we did not have dessert. But when we go back, we will have the baklava for dessert. Our waiterwas very pleasant and professional. I recommend El Turco. It’s a nice dining experience. Read more
