Lackluster service, the waitress barely came by, two people didn't get their food until the other two were halfway done with... their meals. The time it took to come out was pretty long. Loyal customer for a long time and have always rated their pizza Brooklyn quality. Until Sunday when I ordered my usual large... cheese. Having picked up so many in the past I immediately noticed the box was light. Then at home my wife quickly commented itlooked like a frozen pie uneven size slices and not close in cheese and sauce quantity . I called to ask what happened and got apoor excuse and a thank you for the heads up. Unfortunately no mention of a replacement. Always enjoy a good meal at Godfather. Customer service needs to be addressed. Ordered 2 bowls of soups for dine in. When I... brought them to the table, I noticed that one soup was unevenly proportioned to the other. I went back to the counter with bothsoups, the staff said they were both 16oz and deferred to the manager. The manager rudely said " it looks like we gave you moreof one soup than another and we didn't charge you extra, I can pour the soup in a 16oz container and show you it is16oz." Really? I want to give a major shoutout to the team at The Godfather. We are regulars (their pizza is the best around and its so close... to my house). Its also the only place my kids ever want to order from. Aside from that, they went above and beyond for my familylast night. Last night we were coming home from Disney and our flight was stuck on the tarmack for over an hour. There was noway we would get home in time to pick up decent food to eat. I called Godfathers and asked if there was ANY chance they coulddrop off a pizza on my front step and leave the delivery bag so that it could stay warm. They did even though they don't haveto. It meant so much to us and my very hungry kids were so excited. There have also been times when my baby has been sleeping inthe car and I NEED pizza and they have been so kind to walk it out to my car. I was working and was in this city. I was happy they offered a cauliflower pizza crust it was good. I decided to try the house... salad for $7.00 they forgot the fork. But they quickly came by to give me napkins and a utensil so I could eat my salad. I didorder the ice tea and requested unsweet for a quart $4.95. That was said to be really good ice tea. Unfortunately, when I calledto make sure it was unsweet after ordering it was sweet tea. I asked for a cup of tap water and the manager said No! Theyoffered to switch the quart of tea for the tap water and I said No! That wouldn?t make sense to exchange something free forsomething that I paid $4.95 for. I have ordered here before in the past. The food is okay, but please do check the charges once placed on your card. For a measly... Ceasar salad I was charged $24.95. I immediately called them, asking why an order would cost so much. Even when I asked thewoman to double check the price for each item I ordered, it was still overpriced by an additional $5. When I asked her why I wasovercharged she could not give me a clear answer. Just came once before a bowling tournament and grabbed some slices. Don't want to evaluate too much before getting to go back,... but the service was friendly, the food was fast and hot, and it tasted great.
