I?ve ordered from the Sugar bakery over 15 times within the last three years for different events/celebrations and holidays.... However this is now the second time I?ve placed an order and mistakes were made that the establishment wouldn?t apologize or ownup to. For a cream/off white cake they used a unflattering and tacky bright turquoise blue/green to write the birthday messageON TOP of the cake. Normally it is written on a little plaque and placed in front of the cake. I know since Covid they no longerdo custom designs so how you see the cake online is how it will be. However, when placing the order I was never informed that ifyou don?t choose a color it?s up to the discretion of the designers. (Some discretion they have to think those two colors wouldcompliment each other). In the past when I?ve ordered cakes and didn?t specify what color the message is to be written, I wastold the standard is chocolate. So why wasn?t I notified this at the time of my order? Instead the sugar bakery denied to fixthe problem and then tried to manipulate and gaslight me by saying I should?ve have known or asked. When I was told differentlywhen ordering and customs designs are not available to change things. Very disappointed in them, now we have a very ugly andtacky cake and not even a sorry from them. I didn?t even know they were winners of an episode of cupcake wars! It definitely shows!!!! Such great cupcakes, even the gluten... free ones. Delicious and made with love and care. The bakery has a little stationery and gift store up front too. Read more
Get their signature cupcake, cannoli, and try a few macarons. Good ratio of cream to cupcake, and the cupcake is the right... amount of moist and tasty. I got cannoli, love monkey, italian, and strawberry cheesecake cupcakes. The cannoli and love monkeywere great, the italian was pretty good, but the strawberry cheesecake didn?t taste much of strawberry, thought it still tastedgood. The wild berry macaron has great jam, and the peach and lemon macarons do well in tasting like the fruit. The tiramisumacaron was okay? it didn?t really taste of tiramisu. We're regular Sugar customers because we can't get enough of their incredible cupcakes, so it made sense to use them for our... wedding! We transported 13 dozen cupcakes to VT in the middle of August and came home with NONE. Our guests couldn't getenough and Sugar yet again lived up to their stellar reputation. These are the best cupcakes around. They have so many fun and creative flavors and the cake is always moist and delicious. The... Toasted Almond and the Cannoli are our favorite staple flavors and the specials are divine as well. You can order in advanceonline to save time, but looking in the display case is half the fun! I am not into cupcakes at all but someone recommended this place hence wanted to try. It was worth the hype. Loved the cupcakes... .. they were so yumm!!
