Visiting our daughter and wanted a quick bite. We decided upon Hopcat based upon the reviews. Being in a college town, service... could be great or poor. We were greeted immediately upon entrance and seated just a fast. It was shift change, so the guy thatseated us came to our with his replacement introduced him and assured us we were in good hands. We were well taken care and thefood was delicious! The food portion was just enough to fill us up, without weighing us down. Chicken tacos, Mac and cheese withbacon, cosmik fries plus pretzel bites definitely hit the spot You will have to park in a parking structure connected to therestaurant . It only cost us $2 to park, which was nice and the structure wasn't full. It could of been the time of day. Ihighly recommend this restaurant! Read more
Nashville chicken didn?t have more than a bite of chicken in the whole thing. Basically tasted like a pork rind sandwich. Took... one bite and sent it back for a refund. Fries were good. Was not offered any incentive to come back, so I probably won?t.Update: I was told I would receive a refund but they never refunded my card. Even less cool. Read more
Bryan set us up perfectly for our rehearsal dinner upstairs. He communicated with us quickly and guided us along as to what we?d... need and what he recommended. We couldn?t have asked for a better experience! Food was fresh, hot and the entire crew (40+people) loved it. Highly recommend the taco bar and crack fries setup. 10/10. Our service was outstanding. We had our ownpersonal bar setup and servers helping our guests. I highly recommend hosting an event upstairs. We?ll be back. First time going to hop cat. Phenomenal service. I got to get my own refill after 20 minutes of being there. We got to see our... waiter who's eyes were pegged about 3 times in an hour and a half. There were some sweet decorations of broken glass that ourkids spotted along with our broken water glass. The food was great after an hour of being there, warm at best! Being from back west, I've never had the chance to go here until recently. Though, I've heard all about them. It's a small beer... bar chain. We visited the East Lansing location near the University and the place was packed. They were good at getting us atable in relatively short order. The waiter, though very nice despite it being super busy, was apologetic. He kept us in theloop that the bar was backed up. So service would take longer than usual. I really appreciate that. Hopcat has 30-45 differentbeers plus a kitchen. With that many choices available, it's hard not to find something. Just don't expect PBR, Miller &such. Great atmosphere; place was thriving and electric. We had a good time despite longer than normal times. I would definitelygo back. Read more
Hopcat is so delicious! We enjoyed sitting upstairs just observing the scenery. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The food... was also quite delicious. The fish was so good! The chili was a bit mushy (like it had been sitting a slow cooker all day) butstill had good flavor. The fries were the perfect amount of saltiness. Read more
Really cute atmosphere, great service, easy parking, offers vegan friendly choices, has happy hour deals, & offers a variety of... fun drinks! The fries are obviously great bc that's what they're known for. The also have amazing pretzel bites, yummy veganburgers, & health conscious options like the Buddha Bowl.
