My 1st time dining since the renovation. The place looks amazing! Elegant design and lots of space. Excellent waiter service!... Drinks were great! DJ was on point! If there were to make a dance floor, it would be considered a lounge. I felt like getting upand dancing cause the music was jamming. Food was pretty good. Just needed a little more seasoning. Brunch at Tops is always fun and delicious. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food quality is good and delicious.... Pretty busy on the weekends so it’s advisable to make a reservation via yelp before over there. The layout of the restaurantis wheelchair accessible and family friendly. Highly recommend. Read more
This is probably the best diner I’ve ever been to in NJ. The food was incredible. The service was great. Our waiter was... knowledgeable and had great suggestions: His name was Chris. My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday night and it was popping! Therewas loud house music playing in the background and it was super upbeat—almost like a night club. There wasn’t a long waitand the food came out pretty quickly. We were seated at a table instead of a booth and the seats are super comfortable—noneed to ask for a booth if you come in. Our last minute decision on the way to the airport to visit TOPS was the best decision ever. EVERYTHING we ate and drank, was... delicious. From the Mimosas, to the freshly squeezed OJ, all the way down to the fresh pressed Coffee. The most enlighteningpart was our Hostess Karla (or Carla) she recommended the best dishes (Corn-beef Hash, Chicken & Waffles, Blueberry Pancakes)and she was just a pure delight. Wonderful diner! I love the diversity at this place! It makes my heart happy!!!! Karina was a fantastic server! We had our... family of 9 and she was on it! The restaurant was beautiful and spacious! Bathrooms were clean. Food was very good. Chicken andwaffles….. chicken was fried to perfection. Hash and eggs were excellent, Shrimp and grits yummy, Pancake’s were fluffy! Ihighly recommend this place. I hear evening’s are fun with a DJ but a little loud for conversation. You decide!! You won’tbe disappointed. Read more
The food is good. It seems like it was better before the renovation. They don’t have the Cadillac nachos anymore ???? and the... nachos they do have don’t taste the same. It’s beautiful on the inside and the service was good. The atmosphere of therenovated restaurant is different from the old place. It’s not bad, just different. It’s still nice. Delicious food, desserts and coffee. I liked their system where you can see how many people ahead of you while waiting they... yelp. Everything was great , service was fast and friendly. Little pricy but portions are really big and well worth it.Definitely check it out if you end up in New Jersey. It was pretty closed to our hotel so we just walked there. Read more
By far the best restaurant in Newark I have experienced. The food is super good, restaurant is newly renovated, huge parking... area. Most of the time its packed and reservation is highly recommended. We went to tops for a Friday lunch. It was almostfull, but we got a booth lucky. We loved the newly renovated modern look of the restaurant. The stuff we ordered like fries,chicken tenders, roast beef sandwich, chicken and shrimp gumbo all were so tasty. Was amazed to find such quality food inNewark. For sure going to visit Tops more often. Read more
