This is a very nice addition to the neighborhood, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the service. My waiter made good... recommendations for food and wine pairing and the complimentary olives and Jamon was a good touch. Would I return there,definitely. Would I recommend it probably. So why only four stars, the food is good but not spectacular. Given the hype i wasexpecting something amazing but I only found something good enough. Read more

We heard rave reviews about Hunter The Restaurant where we decided to celebrate Father’s Day. The restaurant is small but... spacious which gives you that intimate cozy ambiance and elegant decor. We were greeted warmly and was immediately seated toour table since we made reservations for 4 people. They served complimentary bread, olives and prosciutto ham which wasn’t toosalty and melted like butter. It was a good combination to dip the bread on the broth that came with the spicy steamed clams ofWhite Wine, Garlic, Cilantro, Serrano Chilies appetizer. For the main course we ordered and shared the dry aged porterhouse for2 with a side of french fries, broccoli rabe and sauce béarnaise. We also ordered the Paella Española with Prawns, Clams,Calamari and Cod for 2. The items are familiar enough to feel comfortable, yet unique enough to provide an unforgettableculinary experience. We ordered multiple desserts starting with the (1) strawberry shortcake with fresh berries, (2) AppleGalette, (3) Ricotta Cheesecake with Raspberries, (4) Mango Créme Caramel, (5) Pistachio Parfait, (6) Vanilla Sorbet. Eachdessert were beautiful, inventive, seasonal, and poetic. Our server Francisco and his team was professional, veryaccommodating, and knowledgeable. We even met the young innovative Chef Hunter so we can pay our compliments. He explained howeverything is handmade and nothing is frozen except for the ice cream. He was also nice enough to pose a picture with ustoo. Overall the food and service was truly impeccable. Definitely book a table in advance. I assume this place will start to get busy as it becomes more well known. There is an a la... carte menu and a prix fixe menu. Drinks were exceptional. Food was excellent (honestly, it almost made me cry in my first bite)and on par with the restaurants in the city. Decor and cutlery were both clean and beautiful. Service was extremely attentiveand caring. It’s wonderful to have such a restaurant at this caliber in Long Island. Read more
Compliments to the chef. The food is a revelation but the overall experience is outstanding. It all began before we even arrived... with a request for French Rosé Wine we made and selections were waiting for us when we arrived. Kat our server knew her winesand the food. Provided great dessert recommendations to round out a great meal. Highly recommend the Foie Gras, Veal Chop andPistachio Parfait. Will be back again this place rivals any top restaurant in NYC. Been meaning to try Hunter in East Norwich for some time now, ended up going for our anniversary last night and it was... absolutely fantastic! The service was amazing, the food was phenomenal and drinks were awesome. Can't wait to go back! Read more
The bar tender was so nice while waiting for my family to arrive which already made me happy (I love a good pour.) Hunter really... has the best ambiance and is meticulously decorated. The food is so fresh and delicious. The menu is amazing. Every restaurantis the same quality in the surrounding neighborhoods…. Except here. There’s not another place like Hunter around! Read more
