Joe the owner is a great person and this reflects in the products. Everytime I am in town I also order two pizzas and the three... California cheese steaks. The pizzas taste great and are very reasonably priced. The California cheese steaks taste awesome. Ihighly recommend Gargano's. So for years I've been wanting to go here and I haven't because I have a rule: I don't go to places that don't accept cards.... It's inconvenient and bulky to carry cash, not to mention if it's stolen, there's no way to get it back. But the consistentlygood reviews meant I couldn't ignore it. It just so happened that day, that my wife had a check on her (a form of payment theyalso accept) so we decided to stop in. I have to say the dough is incredible and I think the pizza sauce is good enough to eatalone! We had, pizza, a boli, and bread sticks. Pizza was cooked where you have a nice crunch on the outside but soft inside.Really delicious! Bread sticks had good flavor but I thought slightly overcooked (which many would say about the pies but Iliked that on pizza).I also thought the bread sticks needed more oil or butter with the mixed herbs and it was a little light onthose herbs for me. The boli was good, not amazing. The stars here are the sauce - dipping or otherwise, and the dough and cookon that dough. I haven't had them, but I imagine with them making their own bread, the subs would be excellent! I'm stillperturbed that there's no cards accepted given the year, but I can't deny the effort in quality here- something you don't findeverywhere. I thought the portion size was large as well. Service was very kind and attentive and even offered me a cup to fillup water for free! Overall, I'm 25 minutes away and would go back, but it would have to be a convenience of me already being inthe neighborhood, not going out of my way: especially considering the card thing. This place is a true throwback. The atmosphere is straight out of 1990, there are photos of little league teams still on the... walls from 20 years ago! It?s a nostalgia that will either make you feel young again or make you feel sad about how old youare. Now, about the pizza...It?s actually not bad. They?ve been in business for 40 years for a reason, it?s solid pizza. Thecrust is thin, the sauce is tasty and the cheese is fine. Not a ton of flavor but just a solid pizza. It is cash only (as everyother review mentions) and the prices are a bit high. 2 slice lunch special with a small soda is almost $7! Overall, try it.It?s a spot that I would stop at again to try something else on the menu (as long as I have cash). If nothing else check it outjust to step back in time to the 80s/90s. Read more

A real gem in lancaster. Crazy how good the food is here. Nice little lunch spot cozy dinning area. But also great for take out.
