I recall getting steak sandwiches from Sax back in the early to late 1970's.... large steak, cheese, and onions sandwiches. I... recall joking about Sax... I've been going to this place for over 10 years. In that time, they have consistently provided reasonable pricing and great... food. I think the locals would agree that Sax's isn't just "another steak or pizza joint"; they're an East Providence staple.Not just because they serve delicious food. But because, for over 50 years, they have inspired several generations of fondfamily memories with the love and passion that they've poured into every meal that their customers have come to consider ascomfort food. This is the best steak sandwich and onion rings in RI plus different styles pizza ????, Greek, speciality Pizzas. Ny style... pizza. Plus there slamming fish and chips!! This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was very good. The steak and cheese had some... nice flavor but I never really caught a hint of onions. I didn't like that the bread was toasted. I prefer my cheese steaks tohave very soft fresh bread. The French fries were ok. Kind of like a double fried deal. First time here, I have driven by this location on my sunday trips to raynham flea market and could never find it in my way back... home. So I found it lol on my way home and I'm glad I did. If you love your steak sandwiches like me then you need to come here.A great selection on the menu and the fries I dont know what kind they are but when a restaurant has them I coming back. Read more
