My husband and I are not from the area. And back home we amazing authentic Mexican food. So naturally we are skeptics of new... places . This place EXCEEDED OUT EXPECTATIONS! Burritos are huge! Meat & rice FULL OF FLAVOR !! The homemade hot sauce was richand the perfect amount of heat! The employee was super nice and got our order perfect. He even mentioned the horchata which wasthe perfect blend of creamy and cinnamon! If we lived in the area this would be our NUMBER ONE SPOT FOR MEXICAN FOOd !! Read more

Delicious, authentic food and great portions. Food is always fresh. Since it?s made to order be sure to order ahead because it... takes time. Always worth the wait. It?s one of few restaurants in the area, so they are busy but always pleasant. Read more

I usually get traditional tacos the first time trying a new, to me, taqueria. Tonight I was craving a fried (not baked)... chimichanga. I was excited to see not only did they have it on the menu, but they had my favorite variety - shrimp!Unfortunately everything down to the rice was dry, and bland. While the Chimichanga was fried right, there was really no flavor.Same with the fajita burrito, which was packed more with rice and beans than anything else. It?s a beautiful establishment withtraditional Mexican cuisine, I just wish the food was as flavorful as the place itself. Read more

they are doing take out only, and the take out containers they used were the tin ones with paper lids that you usually get for... pasta dishes.... so when i got home (I'm only 10 mins away) I had a soggy inedible mess which i had to throw out. the tortillaswere wet and falling apart and the entire thing was mush. spent $27 on a meal that I couldn't eat. not to mention the portionswere very small. very disappointed because the reviews were good but my food looked like it was run under the sink first. eventhe quacamole was soggy. This is a truly authentic and delicious Mexican restaurant that has sustained itself in a tiny strip mall in a small area for at... least 15 years. For being in the Poconos, that enough is strong enough praise but the food also happens to be quitedelicious. We got an order of nachos, some al pastor tacos, some ground beef tacos, hand the empanadas. We got an order ofnachos, some al pastor tacos, some ground beef tacos, hand the empanadas. High quality beef that tasted real on soft corntortillas with true Mexican toppings. I've eaten tacos in heavily Spanish populated areas of Florida, all over Texas, and inMexico...these are authentic. The Al Pastor was delicious. You can taste the hint of pineapple but its in no way overwhelming. Tender and properly seasoned pork is wonderful, and this was exactly that. To top it all off, the prices are fantastic. Withthe rising costs of meats we expected this to cost far more than it did. This was a 4/5 simply because it was take out and wecouldn't experience the dine in feel of the place, i'll update soon!
