What can I say about LD?s BBQ. Many of our guests and several of our other vendors said our food was by far the best wedding... food they?ve ever had. Leon?s food is phenomenal and comes at a good price point. He offers a two meat and two sides catererservice, but we upgraded to all four sides. We also requested he bring his firetruck and he did us one better ? he brought thefiretruck and his pull-behind smoker, which added so much to the day. He showed up honking the firetruck horn with smokebillowing out of the smoker?our guests and us loved it! He also made a special plate of ribs and sausage for the head table,checked in on us several times, and was personable with all of our guests. We loved LD?s before our wedding, and are so happy wewere able to have him make our wedding the best day ever. Also?we got to keep any of the leftovers and we will be enjoying LD?schicken and baked beans for several months. He also left us with two full-size bottles of his delicious sauce! Best ribs I've EVER had....coming from someone who has ribs as their favorite food, I've tried numerous! They were... amazing...tender, smoky, could pick up with your fingers! Beans and Cole slaw were super and Sampler Platter was HUGE (we tookhalf home). It had 1/2 chicken, sausage, ribs and brisket in it, all were phenomenal. First time here, and I knew it was good when I saw the line of customers. I really wanted to try the Sampler tray or whole... rack, but decided on the pulled pork sandwich and slaw side, along with the banana desert and sweet tea. The bun and pulled porkwas fantastic, topped with either their Zingy or Original sauce. The slaw was the well lubed kind, with just a bit of tang thatwent well with the pork, and washed down with sweet tea that was just right, not the common overly sweet tea that makes you wishyou would have picked just plain water. Loved it. I played there with a band for Biker night this week. Great crowd. Great food. Staff were so awesome to us and treated... us like guests. They made sure we had anything we would need. They made us dinner plates and stocked a large cooler with ourfavorite drinks. Wow. If that's how they treat a vendor, I'm pretty sure they treat their customers even better. And the decentsized crowd that showed up is proof that they're doing something right. Read more
We drive 3 and a half hours to eat here. Been here 3 times, this last time the meat was very tender! ???? We ordered ribs, cole... slaw and beans. Servers were friendly and place is clean. Only thing lacking in 5 stars is, I wish they had more choices forsides. Something different to break up the same flavor. Read more
Stopped in for lunch and to feed my mission to hit all the great BBQ hot spots in Wisconsin. This Brisket Sandwich is a clear... reason they've had the success they've had over many years. Definitely a must hit if your into great BBQ. Read more
The brisket is really soft and juicy. Not dry at all. The ribs are smoked just right. Not tough but not falling off the bone.... The chicken is amazing. The pulled pork is very good and full of flavor. Good bbq sauce. I liked the tangy bbq the best. Read more
I wish you could enjoy the experience of walking in the door and getting smacked in the face with the delicious smells. This is... not my first trip to LDs but the first at the new location. Awesome atmosphere of family style seating or small tables. Serviceis stellar getting your food prepared while you are paying. We tried all three barbeque sauces. The original is your classicbarbeque flavor. Zippy has a bit more kick but with sweet smooth flavors. The boss is sweeter but with less kick. This is a muststop on your way past East Troy. Read more
