I had the best dining experience possible at this restaurant! We were greeted warmly and immediately by the hostess. Our... beverages were ordered and on the table in no time. The raspberry iced tea, which the server recommended, was refreshing andjust what I needed. The menu had numerous options that sounded great! I started with the daily soup special - stuffed pepper. Ilove a place that has something different to try. It was delicious! Next, I tried the open-faced prime rib sandwich and savoredevery bite. The best part was that the rye bread was toasted perfectly, giving the dish a texture that added another dimensionto an ordinary offering. I finished with a slice of French Silk pie - wonderful! The service, atmosphere, décor, food, and cleanliness were all fabulous. I can't say enough about Anthony's Family Restaurant! I am truly grateful for this establishmentand their excellence. I ordered the homemade perogies. It came with a salad, soup, cracker and a dinner roll. The salad had homemade blue cheese. The... soup was homemade pepper soup. I could tell someone was making the food with love. If you go more than once you will get yourfavorite booth, waitress, etc when you go. Awesome possum sauce! Read more
We stopped in for lunch. Our server was excellent. I couldn't decide what to get and asked her what was favorite. She had so... many! I ended up with her recommendation of the reuben and french fries. It was delicious. The rest of my family was verypleased with thier meals as well. The dessert was great too! We will be back soon. The cleanliness of this restaurant is good the staff are friendly and the prices are great I had the clam chowder loaded baked... potato and prime rib. The New England clam chowder was subpar I did not taste any clams in it and it wasn't seasoned well enoughit was rather bland. The baked potato was okay it did not come with the bacon beds green onions and sour cream and shreddedcheese I had requested I got the sour cream and butter it was okay. The prime rib was delicious delectable tender and juicy wellworth the money I had the king cut and I forgot that I did get one of their desserts it was the French silk it was excellent sooverall I enjoyed my meal I've been here before I've had other dishes and mac and cheese I've had their fried fish and I've hadno problems it was delectable I'm just come up with the baked potatoes and come up on the New England clam chowder fourstars . . Great food and service. One warning though, if you are dieting be careful. Every pie that was displayed in the pie case looked... great. Thank God I was only picking up my food. My friend and I both got the Old English burgers and they were tremendous. Read more
Tuesday is kids night! Kids eat free. 1 child for every adult at the table. Staff is great, my kids make a huge mess wherever... they go, but they still wanted to give them free ice cream. Just a very nice place. Clean, good food. Read more
Stopped in for lunch & I had no regrets. Salad & beef barley soup were good & came with my sandwich but the real show stopper... was the open face prime rib sandwich. A generous portion of shaved prime rib on rye bread, topped with cheese, mushrooms, onions& au jus on the side. Delicious! Service was friendly & efficient (particularly impressive because the place was full). Sodaswere $2.99, but don't let that keep you from visiting this awesome diner - you will leave satisfied! Several Healthcode violations, one lady kept dipping her whole hand in the ice maker with a cup to get ice, instead of using the... scooper provided. The younger workers used the scooper but it only takes one older one to contaminate it all, not to mention alot of the older workers didn't have their mask over their nose and kept coughing and sneezing.
