We stopped here on our way home from the "Ocean". The seating us quickly and the host wiped the table again before we were... seated. We ordered the Bourbon Chicken and shrimp. It came with mashed potatoes. It was served on a sizzle plate which was good.The chicken was tender and we had 6 small shrimp. The onions and mushrooms were burned black. I was staying in town for work at the Marriott across the street, so naturally I visited this Applebees often as it has a nice... bar with the games on, a good selection of food and is walking distance. Each time I visited, I was welcomed warmly, the servicewas attentive, and the food and drinks were as requested. The ambiance was also lively and friendly. It was such a breath offresh air! One of the days, not only did I get cat called by a trucker on my walk there (I noticed that truckers stop in theparking lot nearby)but also was being (attempted) hit on by some guy at the bar. Poor server had way too may table and bartender very slow getting drink orders out. New bourbon menu items were amazing. If... you order the bourbon steak ask for extra mushrooms and onions as there were barely any. Garlic mash potatoes weredelicious. Had very bad experiences here but I would still give it another try.
