I rarely write reviews, but only do so when a local business is truly exceptional. I have been using Captain's Catch on and off... since moving to the Easton area since 2013. Their secret is their service, it is an exception to the area and they go above andbeyond anyone else in this industry. If they don't have something, they will get it- and can get it fresh off the boat locallyor regionally. There are several local businesses that really make this area unique and a good place to live. It?s a no for me. The steamed shrimp were horrible. The best part of the meal was the cookie.
So blah blah blah, seafood, blah maryland, etc. Captain's Ketch has great seafood. OK, so does a lot of places on the shore. But... they have great service, and fantastic cranberry blue cheese salad. Everything here is made from scratch, from the fresh seafood to the coleslaw, spinach souffle, and cookies. We had the crabcake... and shrimp platters, both of which were very tasty. The shrimp roll is served in a round, warm, buttery, brioche-like bun. The shrimp salad itself, is very well seasoned, not... too salty, not too much mayo or other things getting in the way of the shrimp flavor. There's a bit of celery and a bit ofpickle for crunch. I've bought 1/2 peck's of oysters from other markets and they'll stay closed and fresh in a brown bag in my fridge for two... weeks. Got two dozen from this place, some looked meh, ate a dozen, next day a bunch were open and tossed them. Next week didn'tfeel so hot. Not liking to go to doctors waited a few weeks before I knew something was really wrong. Not one, not two, butTHREE different types of parasites. Talbot County Board of Health had to be notified by my doctor. There are other places inEaston that actually sell fresh seafood. Stay away from this overpriced tourist trap. Read more
