Outstanding, authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. Huge portions and amazing service.
Just discovered this place, which rivals some of our favorite Vietnamese cuisine in D.C. and elsewhere. It\'s awesome. The Pho... is great, as are the other authentic dishes. Quickly ready for pickup on a rainy Monday when others were closed. Give this placea try, it is great. Read more
I was surprised (although maybe I shouldn\'t have been?) at the quality of the Phô at Pho Van. As an LA resident, I have had... maybe 20 different Phô experiences and I figured the new place in my hometown would never measure up - but I was wrong!\nWewere greeted as soon as we entered and found the restaurant surprisingly full. The restaurant is clean and well kept with apre-1970 Viet Nam theme - including pictures and a dozen boomboxes and electronics. We got directed to a table and after a fewminutes with the menu, someone helped my guest figure out what she wanted other than phô.\nAfter some discussion, we bothsettled on it after all - me the #10 (rare steak) and her the #11a (well done steak).\nThe wait on the food was longer than Itypically experience - but likely based on how busy this place is compared to my LA fav. We busied ourselves with some deliciousspring rolls in the mean time.\nWhen the phô arrived, it was pretty on point. Again, I only have comparisons from anothercity/state but the noodles were cooked well, the broth was tasty and the steak was perfect.\nI will say that there was morebroth/less noodles than I usually see, but the large was still a very filling meal. It was also slightly more expensive thanusual but I chalk that up to the location more than anything else. The above is the reason for the 4 stars over 5 - but the fooditself was delicious.\nOverall, it was a fantastic meal and I will be coming back next time I\'m in town. Read more

We were able to get a table immediately and ordered pho with rare beef and chicken wings. Both were delicious. The waiter was... very attentive and chatted with us about our kids and with them. We\'ll stop in again if we\'re in the area. Read more
This is what Pho is all about. The Pho Ga (chicken) was exceptional. Their broth was outstanding. I\'ve had a ton of Pho...this... is what you want. When we opened the broth, it was hot, fresh and you could smell all of the spices.\n\nThe grilled shrimp friedrice was great. Perfectly cooked shrimp with a brush of light (Vietnamese) barbecue.\n\nThe grilled pork vermicelli was such ahuge serving, we didn\'t finish it. The pork was perfectly cooked and seasoned to make you come back to it.\n\nHats off to thechef. This was authentic and tasty. Well prepared and delicious. Read more
We just visited for the first time the other day and it was DELICIOUS! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional, and... the food was amazing! Lots of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians and vegans. The waitress was even kind enough tobring vegan dipping sauce for me since I ordered tofu. The portions were generous and beautifully presented! We will definitelybe visiting again! Read more
