We went to La Kang to celebrate my son's 19th birthday. Overall the food was good with excellent service. Started with Triple... mushroom spring rolls, satays. Loved the softness of the chicken. The peanut sauce was the best i have had so far. Not yournormal peanut sauce...it was too good. Among other things, we ordered Drunken noodles ...vegetarian. the flavors were spot on,but I wasn't too thrilled with the overpowering sweetness. The shrimp fried was very very good. The rice had great depths inflavors. Will go for it again. My son got the Pad Ginger....excellent in every way. Worth it. Whether we finish our main dishesor not....never miss the dessert round. We ordered the Thai Tea Basque Burnt Cheesecake. We inhaled it in secs ????. Never sawthis on any menu ...so wanted to give it a try. Totally worth it Read more

To be honest, La Kang here and hellertown are the best thai food restaurants in the lehigh valley. The food is deliciously... consistent everytime. I highly recommend this place and the one in hellertown. The four of us ordered the sampler for appetizer, pad thai, red , green , and massaman curry, 2 extra order of rice and 1 order of ice cream, bill came to 100 bucks, still hadleft overs too, nowadays with inflation you can't beat that Read more

Thai fine but slightly casual dining if you must say. Homey feeling but yet formal. Prices are fairly good for how well they... present the food and the quantity. Spring rolls and tofu satay were wonderful. Husband got duck fried rice and was impressed. Ienjoyed my tofu red curry. Requested spicy but it wasn?t so only slight tiff I would say. They charge for chili sauce $2 extrawhich we went for because hey we?re Indian and we like our food spicy. Small quantity though. But for our entrees we do haveLeft overs for today. Can?t wait to go back and try more things. Finding authentic Thai food in this area that actually matchesthe flavor we?ve had in Thailand has been difficult but this is there. Also BYOB. Read more

Wonderful time at dinner. From the Maitre'de seating us at a very nice table to the service by the very friendly staff working... together. The octopus appetizer was very nice. The sampler had great choices and a good salad. We ordered an extra appetizer ofthe triple mushroom spring rolls. The presentation and taste were great. Moving on to the main course which we ordered mildlyspicy. The Pad Thai was different than some I have had elsewhere but we loved it. Tasty and just the right heat for me. TheDrunken noodles were a wonderful mixture and the sauce just right. The Green Curry had good flavor and a lot of curry sauce. Ittasted great but here there was an issue. In general most Thai restaurants we have eaten at give a choice of protein with noextra charge. This restaurant charges $4 for each protein addition to a dish. We did that with the Drunken noodles and GreenCurry. However for our party or four they only gave us a small (good for two portions) bowl of white rice. The rice was lightand fluffy. Just not enough for four people and a wonderful bowl of curry. We asked for another bowl of rice and the waitresssaid it would be $4. We refused. She came back a few minutes later apologizing that she should have said $3. Either way we feltit was audacious and not customer friendly to ask for the appropriate amount of rice for four guests and be told we would needto pay. At $1 they were still making money but at $3 outrageous. It is a shame that the staff did not recognize our complaint asa worthy one. This restaurant has wonderful staff and great food. Definitely would go back but hopefully management willrecognize the value of customer requests at appropriate amount of rice to enjoy a really good curry. We ended up taking thecurry home and we made our own rice to finish the curry the next day. Read more

This was the absolute best Thai dinner I have ever had, period. Nice warm spice heat on the Pad Prik Khing w/flank steak, and... the flavor of the Butternut Squash soup with its cream, candied bacon, and pumpkin seeds were to die for. The ambiance andservice were fabulous to boot. Highly recommend. You won?t be disappointed! Read more
