Best barbeque around. Brisket portion was the largest I've had at any joint. The mac and cheese was delicious and the loaded... fries were a meal in them selves. Only thing that I would have liked was some salt and pepper for my potato salad. Read more

Stellar BBQ for the PNW! Great setting and open grassy area with games to play while hanging out.
What a wonderful hidden gem on Orcas! Matt hand smokes the delicious brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs fresh each day,... served with a choice of four original sauces made in-house. The comforting side dishes-- macaroni and cheese, collards, blackbeans, loaded fries, are also house made. Add cold beers, tasty beverages from the full bar, and a great selection of localwines and you're in for a treat. It only gets better as you spill out onto the deck overlooking Deer Harbor, or onto thebeautiful grassy area complete with picnic tables, corn hole, ping pong, badminton, and soulful music. It's a place to settlein, let the kids and dog play while you enjoy a truly delicious meal. More than generous portions, friendly staff. It doesn'tget better than this. Read more
This place is a gem. The ambiance here is laid back and relaxing. The brisket was cooked to perfection. I was also impressed... with the baked beans and broccoli. It's rare for me to like everything that comes out on the plate. It's a little more selfservice than I'm used to but they make up for it in flavor. You can even play Cornhole if you'd like. Five of us went to Matthews Smokehouse and all had a great meal and a great time. We tried the baby back ribs and they were... fabulous, the brisket was good as well. Although they have lots of seating inside, they also have an acre of grassy area aroundthe restaurant with tables widely spaced about to eat alfresco, they also have a ping pong table and corn hole area that arefree to use. Other than the food being really good, this would be a nice spot to take children. Read more

Fantastic evening out for dinner. We were staying near the Deer Harbor Marina and this was a nice walk up. The food was very... good but the family friendly laid back atmosphere makes this location special. Kids could run and play while parents couldenjoy watching. This isn?t a fast food area in the sense that if you are under a schedule it may not be the best location. It?s truly meant to relax and take your time. No rushing but to enjoy right now, where you are with who is with you. Read more
