I just got a lobster roll from this place for lunch today and it was by far the worst lobster roll I've ever had. The roll was... stale and only cut 1/2 way long wise so no lobster on 1/2 the sandwich. The lobster that was on the sandwich was over cooked andtough and only claw and leg meat, also the roll wasn't toasted and no butter on it at all. The chips that came with it mighthave been good last week, they were all stuck together and stale. Read more

Good food in a typical golf course restaurant setting. Staff was very friendly.

Play golf here 2x a week- love the course. Decided to try the restaurant (Tavern 19). Arguably the worst decision I’ve ever... made. Wait staff is near non existent, and the food should be famous for how bad it is. Calamari is just fried dough, and theburger is a frozen hockey puck that tasted like it was cooked on the exhaust of a diesel truck. I’ve had better experienceseating at gas stations off of I-95. The dead give away should’ve been the hoard of golfers just drinking, guess you can’tmess up a Coor’s light too badly. But seriously, don’t go here. Read more

Our initial dive into any "tavern" menu is always a burger, and we were not disappointed! The fries were delicious to boot! We... added a chopped salad from the discounted social hour menu and left full and satisfied. Both the lunch and dinner menu seem toinclude plenty of American-fare, pub style options plus fuller, more complex dishes. Service was prompt and cheerful despite theafter work rush crowd. Seems lots of regulars and locals frequent the bar (which has space for about 15 stools) then otherpatrons stand at a few high tops. Lots of regular dining tables as well. There is outdoor seating for the warmer months which welook forward to returning to enjoying. The exterior of the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired, but that is easily forgottenonce inside. Old establishment under new management with the chef who used to operate Dish in Red Bank. Haven’t been for much of the dinner... food, but I’ve only heard good things to this point. Went for the bar food, football, and beer. They have a large space withplenty of TVs for watching sports with a group. Wings and other bar food was great. Will be back for more when I’m in thearea.
