This place was truly the best vegan food I have ever had! The mango scotch bonnet short ribs were the best! You get a plate big... enough for 2 for $20 and we still could not finish it all. If I lived close by here I would be a regular but sadly I?m almost 4hours away. I am planning to come back soon!! The red velvet cake and bread pudding were okay, have had better. WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! We are completely blown away by this food. We have eaten vegan food all around the country and this is in the... top two. This is definitely the best vegan food you will have in the Orlando area. We had the hoax tail, brown stew, jerkchicken sandwich, and loaded fries. The fries were the crispiest fries EVER! Today was my first time here and it DEFINITELY won?t be my last! The overall aesthetic of the restaurant was inviting and they... even had a mini library section. Joe made sure our first time here was everything we needed and more. I had the Hoax tailplatter and you couldn?t tell me I didn?t eat actual oxtails!!! Everything tasted AMAZING! My sister (who is a meat eater) hadthe jerk chicken sandwich and throughly enjoyed it! Joe was very welcoming and accommodating to our every need!!! The staff wasvery pleasant as well! Love the renovations!! The inside finally feels like a place you can sit in and dine instead of the former to-go only... atmosphere. The food is scrumptious. The customer service communication is improved, and I like the pagers. That said?. I wishthere was ONE place (or a printed posted menu) that has the entire menu on it. I had to stand for a while and watch each slideon the Tv show each individual sandwich before I could make a decision to order. The restaurant expansion looks amazing. Ididn?t walk on that side but saw through the glass windows. It has a cafe / library set up with dining tables, kids books, andgorgeous art / backdrop (good photo opp!). I will like to start off by stating, I am not a vegan. However after today I am really considering going to vegan. I drove all... the way from Gainesville to try to this place. Walking in, the atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff welcomes you beforearriving at the register. Tony, which I learned is the restaurant manager, explained all of the food choices. He even ordered myfood for me. I got the Jerk Chicken, sweet and spicy fried cauliflower, rice and peas infused with thyme, and coleslaw. I alsogot the jerk mac & cheese and corn bread. Listen! The food was amazing and the portions are generous. For the dessert, I tried apeach cobbler donut and?. It gave me life! Not only did I receive joy from the food, I met some amazing people. We wanted to love this place and drove out of our way to eat here on our way to Orlando. The food was cold and cauliflower was... barely cooked (breading still raw), the jerk chicken was cold as well as the rice. The brown stew was delicious, but the buffalocauliflower was so excessively spicy that I was sweating after eating it. The staff was not friendly, in fact they were justplain rude. From the reviews we read online and the vibe we got from the owner's posts it sounded like a great place with goodvibes, but this is not the case from our experience. Read more
Wow! The crispy chick?n is delicious! When we pulled up to the restaurant the owner herself was sitting out front in her apron!... She was very welcoming. The Mac & Cheese was a bit spicy for us but the restaurant was very accommodating & without us askingthey switched it out for their cauliflower wings (which were delicious!)
