Sushi was good as expected, had a fine experience, and the waiters/waitresses were nice. However, based off what I had to pay, I... don't really appreciate how the payment works. I've never worked their so I don't know how they run things and I'm sayingeverything based off assumptions. The waiters tipped themselves without my consent and made me pay a hefty amount for theirservices (after just asking for spicy mayo) which gives me an impression about how the restaurant pay their workers. Like I saidI never worked there so I don't how they run things and maybe I'm in the wrong here. Read more

Truly underwhelming "Sushi" restaurant. This is at best an imitation sushi place. Rolls are filled with imitation crab, & shrimp... with little to no fresh fish. The fresh sushi options are very limited and basic. Unfortunately if you've even eaten at aquality sushi joint you will be very disappointed. The price point for all you can eat is fair, staff is friendly, andprofessional, and the restaurant is clean. I do not recommend. Read more

Absolutely amazing food and staff! This is where I bring my friends and family because they always deliver amazing food with a... great attitude. It's a great variety (even if you don't like sushi) and the food itself is fresh. My favorite place to eat byfar Read more

I stumbled across this place while picking someone up from the Eau Claire airport. Very decent selection, and the sushi was very... good for the price. I also liked the variety of other dishes and appetizers included in the all you can eat deal. My onlyconstructive feedback would be that I?m guessing they were training a new sushi chef the night I was there (Tuesday 8/30/22), asthe nigiri had about an inch thick ?ball? of sushi rice underneath it. WAY too much rice for the size of the piece of fish. Notexactly the subtle presentation of a trained sushi chef. I had to strip off a bunch of the rice to balance things out properly.Hoping on my next visit to see better executed nigiri. Or maybe I?ll just ask for less rice. They did accommodate my request forno cucumber, which was much appreciated. Bottom line is, the all you can eat deal is reasonably priced and the food and servicewere definitely worth the money. I?ll go back for sure next time in Eau Claire. Read more

Went for lunch and got the buffet for 22 bucks a pop. This is the second I've ever gotten a meal for more than 20 bucks that i... have thought was completely worth it. Looks like the menu changes sometimes, but between the four of us we got the mango saladx5, the avacado salad, salmon sushi x2, tamago sushi, unagi sushi, chicken teriyaki x2, beef teriyaki x4, salmon belly(reallygood), B.C. Roll, Sakura Roll x2, Salmon Dragon Roll, Fried Scallops x3, Gyoza, Crab Rangoons x2, Tempura Crab, Beef Undon,Chicken Fried Rice x2, Deep Fried Banana, Butter Pecan Ice Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream x2 and it was all good. The service wasalso phenomenal. This is one of the best Asian restaurants I've ever been to and if we are passing through Eau Claire again wewill be sure to stop. Read more

Went with some friends on a Saturday. Was pretty busy but service was still quick, we only waited a 5 mins before being seated.... It was a great time trying all the different sushi and non sushi options with friends. If you don't know if you like sushi gowith some friends and try some of each or their rolls. This experience was far better than my one in Chicago that did solelysushi. Many raw(authentic) and no raw(non authentic)options along with chicken, beef, veggie options, scallops. Was delicious, price wasn't horrible, 4 of us ate 25 of their smaller plates(1 roll per plate, 3 scallops, 3 spring rolls, ect.) Than we alsotook mango salad and a shrimp tempura roll to go. We cleaned every last bite up(friend said to go and if you didn't finish weresubject to a slightly higher waste or to go fee) Bill came out to just above 100$ so 25$ per person before tip wasn't bad forthe amount we had. If you are thinking about going here do it! Very clean, very fast service, fun way if ordering food, greattime, very tasty. 10/10 would recommend and would love to go back again when I make it back to Eau Clare. Read more

Visited for the first time today and we were very happy with our meal. I ordered the Kyoto Roll and the Dragon Roll, while my... husband ordered the Fried Beef Udon. We also had the shrimp dumping with plum sauce appetizer (I can?t remember the name on themenu). Everything was absolutely delicious! The food came out very quickly and the service was great. My husband did say hisUdon was quite salty, but that didn?t deter him from polishing it all off. There is an all you can eat option that I would liketo take advantage of when I have a little larger appetite. It was explained very well by the server, and I love that it?s madeto order and not a buffet style. We absolutely plan on returning and going with this option. I highly recommend giving Akame atry!
