Not a bad place to go if u like sports or bar atmosphere compared to other places in the area. They have adorable stuffed... monkey's hanging from the ceiling on ropes. Large tvs everywhere if u don't want to miss the game. We had chili, monkey fries,the monster burger & a few drinks, it was ok. They have a square bar in the middle which is cool. We got there around opening &an hour later they were busy. They also have ample parking available & handicap spaces close to front door. They have booths, high top tables & regular tables. Fantastic waitress. Ordered the Rubin with fries. We split our order. The waitress even put it on two separate plates. The... toasted bread stayed together well. I mention that cause this is one of my favorite sandwiches. I have had them get sauggy?before I was done eating them. I dont no if my taste buds were off that day but the sause needs to be more like thousand Island.All in all it was good. Read more
It's a nice place and good food. But I honestly don't think the food is of equal value for the price. So 4 stars for everything... else being great. I just can't really agree that a 90 bill (not including tip) for 2 ppl, 2 meals, shared dessert, 3 drinks. Thedrinks weren't typical so I expected higher cost. It just doesn't add up to me. Good food and great service. Asked for gluten free dishes and the staff was really attentive as both the waitress and manager... reviewed the dining options as well as preparation of the meal. Really nice to receive such excellent and fast service. Weusually stop at Monks on our way back to the twin cities and never disappointed. Had the Philly and it was very good, alongwith the wraps and burgers. Cheese curds are really good as well. Read more
I have been there 3 times now and its been on and off. The first 2 times were good, good food good service. This 3rd time i went... with my girlfriend and the kiddo and everyone somewhat enjoyed our food except for the appetizer of monkey fries with cheese andbacon came out and it was literally fries with a dried up bacon and cheese puck hard as a rock you could pick it up. Would notreccommend to anyone craving cheese fries as i was it will totally dissapoint you. Portions were also ridiculous for what yourpaying. First time to this location. Place was nice and big, very friendly staff. Priced reasonable for todays standards. I?d give it 5... stars but it seems the burgers were not the same as the ones in the Dells. Still good but different. Read more
Prompt and super friendly staff. We were a party of six on a modestly busy night, food came out quick and delicious. For the... imbibe-inclined, the bar is somewhat limited. They do have some specialty cocktails but the two I tried were overly sweet. Theyhave a limited beer selection. Read more
I love Monks! We always get great service and everything on the menu I've had is delicious. My favorite is probably the fish... tacos. Great for families and even date night! Read more
