Breakfast at Perkins BIG MISTAKE. Service was miserable, food even worse. Hash browns cold and stale, eggs were super crusty,... pancakes BURNED. The bathrooms were absolutely horrendous. Our waitress and another waitress was in there fixing their hair and talking badly... about management. And saying how much she wanted to go home and not be there. Our waitress didn't smile or even makeconversation. It was apparent she did not want to be working. Her customer service was horrible. When she came out with our foodshe saw a new table with 6 people, and said loudly in front of a lot of customers "ugh seriously". She did not check on us onceto ask how our food was. It's been a long time since I ate at a Perkins. It was very good. Didnt take any pics this time, We had breakfast. I had the new... Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and fruit. My friend had the potato pancakes for the first time and I had a bite myself andyummy. The waitress was very nice and helpful.????? Well ate there again and took pics. Terrible food, terrible service. BY FAR the WORST Perkins I have been to in 25 years. Wasn?t even busy and still waited over an... hour for rude waitresses dragging their feet. Almost reached the point of it becoming comical just how bad the service is here.Ended up barely eating any of the food. Soggy toast, burnt eggs and bare hands touching food. After 20 years of coming here. This will be my last visit due to the decline of the restaurant. While it's understood that the... pandemic has hit many businesses, the decline of Perkins in EC started before then. It used to be a good go to spot for a lateevening meal like after homecoming, prom, a sports game, or work. The last couple of times specifically I witness managementdisciplining wait staff loudly or rudely interrogating wait staff. Peeking in the kitchen going by as you walk to be seated -the kitchen floor is a mess. The booth I sat in had a large rip in the seat part. My friend's coffee mug had a cracked handle.Staff seem stressed and stretched. The atmosphere for late evening doesn't feel warm anymore. Our orders were both missingitems a condiment for mine and 2 sides for my friends. The food is not plated with care to look enticing. I re-plated my chickenstrips for my submitted photo. The price for the portion and quality is too high compared to other non-chain restaurants in thearea. We came in in the early 6pm hour and left after 8pm due to each part of our service having a long delay [i.e. betweenside salad to entrée to desert]. The pie is the saving grace for leaving 2 stars instead of one. That and our waitressChristina really tried hard to accommodate and serve us regardless of the disorganization mentioned above. Outside garbage was overflowing; there?s an overall grimy feeling on every surface of this restaurant, doesn?t feel like they... take cleanliness very seriously. $ Stopped in for lunch a little after noon and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Not a problem because it did look like... they were understaffed so understandable. That's where the understanding ended. After being seated, waitress came over afterabout 5 minutes and was surprised our drink order wasn't taken, basically her job. Then it was another 10 minutes before ourorder taken. It was very clear the waitress was new at waiting tables and didn't appear to have much training. After 45 minutes,we flagged our waitress down for estimate on our food. We had to flag her down because not once in that time did she stop by ourtable to check in, see if we needed refills, etc. (We did get refills because the hostess brought them.) But I'm guessing shewas never trained on doing this. Then when our food came out after about 50 minutes, we had to wait again because we didn't haveany utensils. Then I had to get up and see if I could get syrup for my pancakes. When it was all done, the manager did take offover 25% of the bill without being asked, so he was aware of the issue. Came in with a group and was told 35 min wait. After an hour we were seated. They took our order and it took a half hour for... them to bring us our drinks. If they would have just been honest with how long things would have take I would have goneelsewhere but would not be upset Read more
