I've been coming here mostly for the food but it has always been one of those places where the service just sucks. Recently,... however, they hired a new manager Vina. Vina is absolutely what this restaurant needs My wife and I told Mandi to tell theowner to give Vina a raise or i don't know do something so she doesn't leave. So, now I'm writing this review hoping that thismessage gets to the owner if it didn't already. I went a bit ago and let me tell you after years of going and receiving mediocreservice, My recent visit was by far the best I've had anywhere. We were welcomed and seated then soon after we were introducedto Vina. Who served us and made sure we were well taken care of. Service was GREAT food was good. I noticed it was really busyand I only saw 2 or 3 people working. Yet Vina made sure everything was okay I saw her taking out food, bringing up drinks,seating people down, taking care of us, and checking up on other tables. I've never seen someone work as hard as this woman. Notonly that but I have a nephew who has with us he is autistic and usually when we go out to eat is a very unpleasant situationmostly because people don't know how to communicate or we get weird looks. Vina, however, was very different; she couldcommunicate and make my nephew comfortable. We now love everything about this place. She is an asset to making this place thebest it could be. Read more
Excellent food and service every time we've gone!
My family, party of 6, had an early dinner. Service was terrible! I had to ask for dressing for my salad, which I got after... everyone one else got their food. Got up to get my own napkins & to go boxes! Our appetizers came out with dinner after we hadto ask for them. Will not be going back anytime soon after paying $118.00. Read more
First, I want to say I have wanted to go to this restaurant for a long long time, and was really excited that we finally had the... chance to do it. We went here for lunch yesterday. So weird, the Google says they open at 12:00 noon for lunch and we werethere before 12:30 and they were already crowded. If you've never been here before, you need to be aware this is also whereOakhurst Country Club is and their swimming pool. Parking was almost non-existent, which was really bad considering that weneeded a handicapped spot and had to park all the way on the right side of the building, where we finally found one. We did notsee anything labeled handicapped entrance, so with great difficulty we climbed up the stairs to get into the restaurant. Itwasn't until we were to leave that we saw that there was actually an outside entrance for handicapped, but with so few spaces,and so many people in the pool, there wasn't a handicap spot to be had. There needs to be more handicap parking. It is eitherthat, or some kind of ramp system in front of the restaurant or something on the right hand side of it needs to beinstalled. As I said, it was extremely busy. It took our server Jeremiah a really long time before he was able to come and takeour order. Weird, in other Mexican restaurants that we've been to, when they give you two bowls for salsa to go with thehomemade chips (which were really good), one of those bowls usually gets a more spicier salsa than the other. Here they didn'tdo that, they just put the same salsa in both bowls, it was good though. Jeremiah was able to let us to use the Lunch Menu,even though according to the main menu they only do lunch menus Monday through Friday but can do other times for an extra dollarfor the meals, we really appreciated him being able to do that. Great family friendly place, I'd say they have the best tacos of any mexican resturant In Eden, Nc . Have a picky family member... that doesn't like mexican food? No worries here at santanas they pride themselves on great American food also, Burgers,Hotwings, country vegtibles, hamburger steaks etc . More importantly the price point Is great, and I, as well as my family( wife,son, and daughter) all enjoy eatting at santanas. Struck me odd considering it wasn't like that aweek ago visiting. Keep In mind I visit multiple times a month, no big deal, go thru the front door the greeter asked me whereId like to sit, I said whats available? She said anywhere so I asked for the bar, She sits me In the bar, the male worker comesIn scalds the girl In Spanish for sitting me In the bar, saying it was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. Went for a birthday lunch, had the special chicken or steak fajitas, so yummy and full of meat and vegetables, had a great... frozen lime and a raspberry margarita. They were awesome!! Wait staff was very friendly, and helpful!! Always around but notbothersome!! Will definitely go back. Read more
