Good food, great bartender. Nice old-school charm. Still trying to figure out my favorite dish. Clams with angel hair pasta... adds chunks of sea clams, a little strange but nicely flavored. Very good marinara. Read more

Meh.. food was ok.. had the eggplant app, which was very cold.. dinner was $39 short rib, which was only 3 tiny slices- and Luke... warm .. if I had to guess, all food is pre-made and warmed up ?service was good.. overall, very overpriced.. not sure I?d goback Read more

Excellent restaurant attached to the hotel that provides lovely dining, an excellent menu, quality food and excellent service.... Four of us dined there on a Saturday night after making reservations ahead of time and each one of the meals was absolutelyperfectly done. For a restaurant in edgartown, the prices were as expected and not outrageous. Don't miss this wonderful diningexperience Read more

Chesca?s was awesome! We got the clam chowder and shrimp cocktail to start. The portions are big so you are getting what you?re... paying for. The starters we?re delicious. We got the bolognese for our entree and it tasted really good as well. The atmospherewas really nice and not too loud or busy. Our server was great and really accommodating. Overall the food was delicious and werecommend this place to anyone traveling into Edgartown looking for delicious Italian food. Read more

Not sure how this restaurant rates so high. From the time we entered I was skeptical of what our experience would be like. It... was NOT good. It was warm where they sat us, but as we were sat, there was a portable cooling machine blowing air on our table. Not sure why it was hot in the restaurant but the blowing air was uncomfortable from where we sat. The soups we ordered were notgood, the white bean soup was more like a vegetable soup, but very little beans were present. The clam chowder was thick anddidn?t have much in the way of potatoes or clams. We then waited for 1 hour for menu items that should have taken a chef 15minutes to prepare, I.e., the roasted cod and Marsala chicken. We watched as other tables with parties of five or more, who weresat ten minutes after we received our soup got their entire meal and nearly completed them before we received our meal. Theworst is when the waiter or waitress has to come to the table to say our ?meal will be out soon?, three times. The food wasmediocre. The manager came over mumbled something under his mask and could have cared less while he apologized for the kitchensdelay. There was no delay in the table of five who received their meal well ahead of ours. The waitress seemed clueless. Themanager was callous and very unconcerned with our very poor experience. When you?re sitting, waiting for your food, you tend tostart looking around and seeing the cleanliness of a restaurant. Seemed dirty and dinghy, pictures on the wall were cheap andcrooked. No pride whatsoever. Will never go to this ?restaurant? again. Apologies don?t help when the charge what they chargeand don?t deliver. We paid full price and a 20% tip for a terrible experience. Yuk, is how I?d sum up the entire experience.???? Read more

Dinner at Chescas was really great. We dined at the bar and Sarah took good care of us. The patrons at the bar were friendly... locals. We had the eggplant parm which was just ok. The braised short ribs melted in my mouth and the Demi glaze was spot on. Hubby had the NY Strip which was giant, juicy and cooked perfect. I recommend this place but skip the bland eggplant parm. Bread service was also basic dinner rolls, for those reasons I withdrew a star. Go here! Read more

It was crowded when we arrived and had to wait to sit at the side bar. Ordered drinks and appetizers. The food was outstanding!... We had the gnocchi with mushroom gorgonzola sauce, the meatballs, and the crispy eggplant with buratta. Service was slow, as ourwaiter was the main bartender as well. Worth the wait. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Read more
