I did a take-out for the first time today. My expectation on Korean food in NJ/NY is pretty numb at this point because of too... much flavoring and MSG in everything. I got kimchi beef soft tofu stew. Did not expect much, just wanted a warm meal after longday. I am so happy to find this place. Although very little ban-chans (side dishes), but it was adequate enough to elevate myappetite. I wish kimchi was a bit more fermented in the stew, but I think it is awesome that you don't taste much MSG, honestand priced reasonably. Would def come back! Read more

Great option for classic Korean fare with nice outdoor seating (and views of the Hudson River & the city). The side dishes are... always plentiful and fresh. Hot stone bibimbap is so good! The combo of tofu stew + LA galbi beef is great as well. Can?trecommend this place enough. Read more

Nice atmosphere and location... However, the tofu stew with pork dumplings that I requested, arrived with no dumplings - and... sliced beef instead. I can get over that. What I cannot get over is the fact that the stew was basically orange water with abit of chilli - absolutely devoid of any flavour whatsoever. Ditto for the beef ribs BBQ and chicken teriyaki. We Loved this place. We got the tofu stew, my wife got the beef and I got the seafood. So so good and fresh! She got mild and I... got medium with her getting rice and me the noodles. Great service with authentic flavors and fares. Average cost was $15 eachfor the Tofu Stew, and Steamed Dumplings were $11. Service was quick and the workers friendly and helpful. This is the second SGD place we tried recently in Edgewater, NJ. SGD is very famous for tofu Soup, which is perfect in cold... weather. We ordered Mushroom Tofu Soup. It comes piping hot. They have 5 levels of spicy. They also have options of Noodles andrice on side. It was delicious. Sides include kimchi, seaweed, sprouts, cucumber and Jalapeno roots. Staff was friendly. Placeis big. Hence, you might have to call for assistance if you need something. We had to request to get refilled forsides. Restaurant has a view of New York skyline. Lucky tables are close to river. Read more
