Food was good, but waiter was extremely rude. They made an error on my order which was not a big deal. However, the waiter... decided to charge me for the substitution that never happened. When I got my receipt, I noticed this and kindly let him knowthat the substitution never happened. With attitude and a smirk he grabbed the receipt and when he came back, loudly said to meand my 3 colleagues, "There you go, a wholeeee dollar off" and went on to laugh. I explained it isn't the money, its theprinciple and he just walked off smirking and laughing. I don't know how you train your waiters, but if your waiter is givingreceipts to a party while they're still eating and the restaurant is empty, that's a red flag. Second, his sarcastic comment wasunwarranted and not appropriate at all especially when its at the restaurants fault for not substituting the cream cheese foravocado (I am lactose intolerant). Definitely won't be coming back along with my colleagues and I hope you, the waiter, seesthis review so that you can improve your basic manners. Delicious food. Friendly staff greeted us with a Japanese welcome upon entering. I had a create your own bowl. Family had sushi.... Waiter brought extra sauces upon request and when he wasn?t sure about ingredients, he went to ask. Very professional. Verytrendy walls. Chicken (grilled or fried) teriyaki was great. Vegetable tempura was awesome. Cucumber lemonade was fresh andtasty. Sweet, but not overly so, and not bitter. Menu font is tiny, so it?s easier to read it online. Bathroom needs to becleaner. This place is a little more hit than miss for me...plus if reading this review keep in mind I usually eat the same plate all the... time. I have yet to try their sushi...so I won't opine on it. I will opine only on what I eat obviously. The one appetizer Ialways get are their pork egg rolls. This night it came out fresh and hot...the right amount of crisp on it. The sweet and soursauce is par for the course...I won't say who but there's other places with a slightly better version but still tasty. Sweetnesswith a little bit of tang...perfect combination. I always get the shrimp and chicken tempura. This place is hit and miss...thisnight (maybe because we ate there) the plates came out with a beautiful presentation of the meal. However, they don't always getthe same love as that night. The shrimp batter was nicely fried with good consistency... It wasn't falling off. The shrimp andchicken had the perfect cook on it...grab a little bit of avocado and the cream cheese with the shrimp...dynamite However...askfor it to go? Not so much love...nor attention to detail. The flavors are all there...but the batter was a little lessconsistent and no attention paid to the presentation. The place is fairly small...the servers are attentive. We ordered by phone on a Sunday at 7:16pm, went to restaurant and paid for our food at 7:45pm, and left the restaurant at 8:30pm... with our order. I had to go inside and complain at 8:20pm and ask for my money back before they would finish packing my order upto go. The food was good, but not an hour and 15 minutes wait ?good?! The only positive thing about waiting was the sweet girlwho packed the food and apologized sincerely about the wait. The manager was on his phone at the bar on the right near theregister and didn?t seem concerned until I wanted a refund. I won?t go back to eat or order here again. Read more

Depends on your waitress; our first time there waitress was good. Last time there the waitress was rude and we had to remind her... when our orders were out and sitting at the bar for quite a while. She let our appetizers sit out forever so our food was doneat same time. Cynthia, another waitress there, is pretty good and knows what she is doing, she made our first experience theregreat. The new waitress that could not even add or subtract scared us from going back. It was not worth the hassle at thatpoint. Read more
We go the fried calamari and it was delicious. Their calamari is thick and well seasoned without any of the rubbery elastic... texture. I had the lucky sushi roll which was incredibly done, the spicy mayo imitation crab was so good and spicy. My husbandgot a bowl with basically tempura fried everything which was also delicious. Our server recommended the yuza sauce and it pairedgreatly with the calamari. 10/10 recommend UPDATE: This has become my favorite sushi place to eat at I 100% recommend giving ita try. I keep coming back here and recommending it to friends and family because I honestly think they have some of the bestsushi roles in the rgv, good quality and great prices. Read more
