Deccan spice is such a great experience. Starting from The host who is very friendly and accommodating, to the excellent... service, to The ambience which is very soothing, and the food is just so delicious!! We are meat eaters and ordered tandoorichicken, chili chicken, railway curry and goat chettinad. Every dish was finger licking good and each dish had its own uniqueflavors. Don’t miss this gem of a restaurant!! They also have a cute robot that brings out the food! Fascinating for the kidsto see! Highly recommend going here Read more

The food at Deccan Spice (Jersey City and Edison locations) is predictably excellent! Authentic, spicy and delicious. The Edison... location has a modern, inviting ambience- a great place to go for a get together or celebration. You can order some Indian beersto go with your food. Don't leave the place without trying the Apollo fish and goat biryani. The wait staff has it easyhere...robots carry food and used dishes back and forth. I guess my tips are going to the robot as well...haha! Read more

Its a very pricy and overrated Indian restaurant with average taste (especially for vegetarian options). Salt was less in all... the 4 dishes we ordered Hara bara kabab, Cauliflower 65, Methi chaman veg gravy (24$) and biryani. Even the chutney/onion thatwe ask for the starters has to be purchased. I heard from the people that the ambience was fabulous but I felt it was OK! Thereare many other indian restaurants with better ambience in NJ. The only attraction of this restuarant was the Robos, that bringsthe food to our table. Btw, I am the big fan of Deccan spice at Jersey city, ignoring the ambience. Read more

If you are in the mood for an Indian delicacy with some serene and great ambience look no further than Deccan Spice in Edison.... We had no reservations but were graciously greeted and seated. The drinks and food menu definitely had choices from one of kindto tingle your palate. Tandoori Murgh is a must have. The food presentation is amazing. The manager and waiter were humble tocheck in if we were doing good. Price meets the quality and quantity and service of all. We left with good taste in mouth. Read more

Literally the best Indian food in Edison NJ, which is a bold statement. From classics such as Saag Paneer to fusion items like... Manchurian cauliflower, to avant garde takes on other cuisines like Lobster Bisque, their chef nails them all. This is one ofthose places where you put a bite in your mouth and wonder how exactly the chef managed to get exactly that combination ofspices into each mouthful. Sweet, spicy, savory. Surprising flavors, perfect textures. Vegetables are always at just that softsnap, and meats have the resilient but tender mouth feel that speaks to long slow time on low heat gently melting together. Doyourself a favor and try at least one of the soups - they're all delightful. Try something you've never heard of, maybe from theChefs Special list. Get an old favorite. Deccan Spice will knock them all out of the park. The decor is just right for a datenight with your significant other, definitely worthy of the spiffy outfit. They have a full bar with both American standards andIndian cocktails. Dessert is fine but unremarkable. We have taken to simply heading over to one of the many Indian sweet shopsin the area for our after-dinner gulab jamun or kir with chai. If nothing else, go to gawk at the two serving robots thataugment their service staff. These fun gadgets bring food to the table and bus empties. All servers take orders on hand helddevices, another way management is using technology to streamline his operation. Sadly, service is the only area not top-notchat Deccan Spice. Their servers seem overworked and a bit undertrained. Indeed management spoke of labor challenges - quitecommon going into 2022 and out of the COVID pandemic. We've experienced a fair amount of delay and confusion on orders andoverall service. I would love to see about 25% more service staff on the floor, and about 50% additional patron contact within ameal. Prices are moderately high, but no more than you'd expect to pay for a fine dining meal in, say Ne Read more

We had such a great experience here! I was so surprised not to see a 5 star rating for this restaurant! The service was... exceptional! Our food came out fast and hot. It’s a Friday night at 7PM and the owner even introduced himself and I just feltthis was the best Indian food in the area. Chefs table was my go to and I can confidently say I will be recommending Deccan toeveryone!! Can’t wait to be back! Highly recommend the Deccan Biryani, the chicken tikka and the spicy shrimp app!
