4/5 7th November 2022 I was a tourist in Edmonton and this was a place that came on the recommenddation list. So I had to try... it. I came here and the host suggested i go for the rice bowl with beef and the sugarcane lemonade. The food was so tasty andso was the lemonade. I would definitely recommend this place and would hopefully come back in the future to try more. Read more

Their brunch is 10/10 delicious! I thought perhaps it wouldn?t be traditional enough (more mainstream) but I was wrong!... Absolutely delicious Venezuelan style breakfast/brunch offerings, that include arepas. I ordered the Traditional, which I wouldhighly recommend! Amazing place to try if you?re looking for a new brunch spot. Read more

I used to love this restaurant since they first opened but over the last year and a half I?ve had nothing but negative... experiences. For the last 3 times I?ve visited they always seem to forget someone?s order, or they get it wrong. After a fewmonths I decided to give it another try, hoping different staff would provide a different experience. They forgot my partnersfood again, even though I asked the server to repeat the order back to me and I kindly repeated it back to her for reassurance. When I asked where his order was, they didn?t even apologize or acknowledge the fact they forgot about it, instead both serverand cook went back to the kitchen. Hoping you guys take this into consideration to improve your service. I like the owner andthe food, but you?re lacking good service. Read more

First time at a Venezuelan restaurant! Loved their food! Their portions are very generous! We ordered way too much but that?s... okay we shared with friends. Delicious empanadas, patacon with meat and cabbage on top, pork bites, the arepas are delish! Therestaurant is small and cozy and the staff is super friendly. I?d definitely go again next time I?m in Edmonton! Read more

My first time experiencing Venezuelan cuisine, Arepa on Whyte Ave. Whilst we just stopped out of curiosity and a reconnection... with the owner, ordering only a snack - the yucca fries served with a unique fiery fresh green garlic etc dip. Excellent serviceand highly recommended! Look forward to trying out other dishes on the menu.. Read more

While I can say that the arepas were tasty, I do wish they were filled with more flavour. They were also on the pricy side as... they ranged between $14 to $16 and weren?t too large in size. The cocada was also enjoyable but fairly sweet and the glass wasonly about half full for $6. I would have preferred if they diluted the drink with more milk to fill up the glass more and makeit a bit less sweet. Overall, I would rate the food and drinks a 7/10. If you haven?t visited @avilaarepa before, I wouldrecommend that you do as it is something different and interesting! Read more
