Close to my apt to grab some drinks and foods. Servers are friendly and sandwiches are yummy.

We came hungry with the kids from very far, reviews were good so we chose this place thinking the food would be healthier. The... server seemed nice. When the food came the buns were cold, the sandwiches where barely filled. Nicoise salad is usually great, but here it was not eatable: cold potatoes, tasteless, really I could not eat it. I brought it up front, shared my thoughts anddisappointment and the person there around 3h15 pm told me, and I am quoting: the dirty dishes are there. She did not even lookat me or tried to resolve, nothing. So sad, food very mediocre... Read more

Wow. Just wow. I?ve never experienced the level of poor customer service as I have today. First the woman behind the counter... (in a red and black plaid shirt) yelled at me for being ?in line? wrong. She was then short and rude while I ordered a drink. And then to top it off, i asked to make sure that the drink was to-go, she snapped back at me with ?you?re not the only customerI?m making coffee for?. Even the customers around me were shocked by her response. I don?t know if she had a bad day or what, but that was a super uncomfortable and disappointing set of interactions. Usually I have a great experience there, but todaymade it clear I?ll never be back. I don?t want to deal with that kind of customer service. The latte was also watery andterrible. Something I?m also not used to when coming to district. Read more

We had a Cubano panini , tomato soup , gingerbread cookie and lattes. The combination was delicious.

District Cafe?s baked goods are great! They have selections of croissant, bagels, scones, muffins, cookies, cinnamon buns. They... also have menu for breakfast and light lunch. With regards to coffee, they use beans from Bows & Arrows Roasters for theirespresso. They also sell coffee from local Alberta roasters such as Rogue Wave and Monogram! (But they also bring coffee fromother provinces on occasion)! Read more

I had a great experience overall. Very welcoming and hospitable with lovely decor, I was able to work at the one of the tall... tables for a couple hours. They never rushed myle and were always refilling my water and offering to serve. The cappuccino wasnot the best in the city but it is by far the best I've had outside of a dedicated cafe that roasts their own beans. The pizzawasn't great in my opinion; pretty bland flavours overall, but the crust was great. The croissant was amazing, such perfecttexture and buttery flavour! I enjoyed the cake, but was getting pretty full so I wasn't able to finish it. Highly recommend fora lunch or work/study session, but the menu wasn't very big so maybe not my first choice for dinner. Nice atmosphere and great food. There are some good brunch options there. The poached eggs in the benny were cooked well and the... flavours were simple and sweet. The breakfast bowl had some really nice simple flavours as well, and was very light but alsofilling. Coffees were good, but the glassware may cause them to cool rather quickly (the ceramic cups also cool fairly quickly).Overall this was a nice place and had some good vibes. There are many smaller options as well, which we will definitely have totry the next time we are around. Read more
