First visit to El Cortez. We had the dip trio to start. It was good, but the menu said it had guacamole with it, and the... waitress said that was wrong. So no guacamole. ???? My wife had the brisket tacos. They were delicious. I had the porkenchiladas. It was good but maybe had almost too many flavors going on. We had the churros for dessert, very tasty. Besidesmissing the guacamole, the service was excellent. We'd definitely go again. Read more

Good place to go to for a patio hang, especially on Taco Tuesdays. Personally, I always opt for the fish tacos as they?re the... best flavour of all I tried. Red Sangria is also great and goes down well with tacos. Read more
Nice place, great service from our server K. Tacos were good size and tasty. Tortillas didn't fall apart or break whole eating... the tacos. Drinks were great but the shot of Tequila seemed to be under pored in an oversized shot glass, not uncommon at bars.Would be nice if the umbrellas were set up on the patio on a scorching evening. Too many good Mexican restaurants in south side of Edmonton..great food great taste. Staff friendly.. drinks were very good.... Service was very quick.serving were average size. Don't let the bad service reviews fool you, service was good! We got enchiladas and shrimp tacos. Enchiladas 8/10, best green... salsa I've ever had. Shrimp tacos 6/10, very tasty but tiny portion for the price compared to the enchiladas. Read more
Super great food. Had gluten free ancheladas. Although no kids menu and atmosphere may not be kid friendly, staff were super... supportive of us bringing our kids and helped adapt menu choices to be kid friendly. Chicken enchiladas were amazing! I?ve also had the shrimp tacos and chicken tacos on taco Tuesday if you buy a drink you get 1/2... prices tacos great deal! The drinks are on point. Never have to wait long to be seated and the staff are friendly and quick totake your order. They have a DJ there on some nights really great atmosphere. Foods priced reasonably. My only complaintwould be that they need to shut the second set of doors now that it?s cold out wind blasts in. Besides that I?d say go and????!!! Read more
