It is so nice to deal with a restaurant that cares so much about the customers. We live in a world where restaurant chains have... taken over and the little guys are forgotten. James and his team made a fantastic Christmas dinner for our family. We have never ordered a Christmas meal before but with... only 4 of us this year, our family having to work on Christmas Eve, and with the economy struggling, we wanted to support localbusiness (and a bonus for us, we didn't have to cook this Christmas). The meal was very nice, food was great, portions weregenerous, and the order was accurate (we had some custom requests of a gluten free order, etc). Coffee: 4/5, the girl knew what she was doing. Service: 3/5, neither overly friendly nor unpleasant. Atmosphere: 1*/5, this... would be 4/5 if the UofA hadn't cut power to all the outlets around the seating area. ...overall, talk about UofA turning astrength (lots of seating, limited food stall competition, available laptop power) into a weakness! If all I want us in/outquick, I can walk over another block and have many many more choices. Read more
Food is really good here and about the same price as other places downtown to get a sandwich or salad. Their daily special does... cost over $11.00 but is more than enough food for lunch and add a drink to that is can be an expensive lunch. Their selectionsare good and there is seating. I waited way over five minutes at noon while the cashier was on the phone as my sandwich gotcold, not impressed, noon especially when the downtown core eats and prime time at most food places. Tried these guys at the Taste of Edmonton event - went back for seconds. Their Bison Cannelloni is really good but their... Bomboloni Caramelle (Italian Caramel Filled Donuts) are a must try!! Apparently they have a food truck so they have anothermobile location around the city which we?ll be looking out for. Read more
