they serve the best butter chicken in town. been going there for the last 8 years and the quality hasn't changed a bit. Love... their garlic naans. Aloo tikki chaat is good too. Butter chicken and shahi paneer paninis are pretty flavourful . Also thechicken panini is good too. also service is very good and place is very neat & clean. Recently tried their butter chicken andpaneer lunch serving options. Pretty good quantity and taste as always was great. Must try. ???????? Read more

One and only the GURU, wow really amazed with the supreme quality of food and top notch service, General Manager Gurjeeth is a... pleasant guy with genuine smile greeted and quickly seated us on one of the curved booths, normally we don't see serversgreeting the tables in less than 5 minutes in any east Indian restaurant. We have been to many and most of the times you arejust ignored or you will se some timid students serving who has no clue, The Dining experience is pure nostalgic , I definitelyrecommend this place to who ever is looking for an elevated upscale dining experience at reasonable price, thumbs up guys , goodjob ,,, just cant wait to go back and try the fabulous cocktails... My family always underestimated this restaurant and kept on saying that this place does not serve authentic food . Finally after... 3 years I was able to convince my husband to eat at Guru and now he just loves this place. The ambience is one of the best inEdmonton among Indian restaurants, our server was nice and polite, the whole staff was very welcoming. Food was just excellent, drink were great. Only drawback is limited menu, we are used to such exaggerated menus at Indian restaurants that Guru?s menuwas a surprise. Wait time was also bit over the usual time but overall food covered all these drawbacks. Peri peri tawa chickenlooked appealing and tasted scrumptious. Read more

Sorry to be straight forward but you know an Indian restaurant is not going to be good when the vibe is not going with the food... they?re serving. To summarize my experience here, I?d give it zero stars if possible for multiple reasons, this has to be themost expensive Indian cuisine I?ve been to probably ever, $75 for some butter chicken & panir chilgoza with some rice?Seriously?! Secondly, I am not joking when I say this place served the WORST butter chicken I have ever had. All in all thisplace is not worth half the money they charge. I will stick to Namaste India whenever I?m in the mood for Indian food on thewest side next. Half the price, double the portions & 10x better food. Read more

Good food, insane prices. Let me start by saying I have a top %15 of canadians income/I have no wife or kids= disposable money... far greater than most and I felt this place is way too expensive. If I can't afford this place, who can? The food is good, theprices are obscene. Look at the pictures I've included, $12 for 3 tiny samosas which combine maybe into 1.5 of a normalsamosa??? $12 dollars, $4 a samosa?? The samosas were pleasant but at 6.95 for those 3 samosas they would be pushing it, but at12? never again. The paneer mahkni? was nice also though at $24 it should of had more paneer and was more sauce than anythingelse. If you're going to charge $24 for paneer in butter chicken sauce you need to have more paneer. This dish should be no morethan $19 or at $24 it needs to be chock full of paneer, not as sparse as it was. The naan was also good but at $7.75 for 1 naanits too expensive. 4.99 a naan is pretty expensive but 8 bucks a naan??? The resturaunt was empty when I went and I feel thereason for that is that they have priced themselves out of being an option for most people. The food is good, but at theseprices I won't be back. Always an amazing go to place. We've been here with our parents, for our anniversary, and for various celebrations. I'd... recommend it for anyone if they're new to east Indian food or even if they eat it often. Also, definitely try the Cauliflower65! Can't wait to come back again. Plus I've always had service that's above and beyond especially our last visit, Mohan madeit an especially enjoyable experience. Read more

First, this place is gorgeous! The signature cocktails are perfect, the food is the best I have had anywhere. We had mango... chicken, charcoal shrimp, samosas, and the dessert sampler. All amazing! The presentation is beautiful and the service was topnotch. This place is so worth the trip downtown for an authentic, upscale dining experience. Read more
