Loved the food, service, and atmosphere of this spot! The brie appetizer is a must try and the meals were very big and could... easily be shared. We tried many of the things on the menu and everything was lovely! Fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, thefish, both kinds of fried chicken. All yum! Read more

I happened to spot this place last time we were in Edmonton & had been looking forward to coming back to town to try it. We... arrived early for our reservation but we're a ble to be seated because they were dead. A resturaunt this quiet at 7pm on aFriday night is usually a very bad sign but but this place was good. For appy's my husband got the "Swamp Stick" (alligatorkabob) & we both got cornbread. The cornbread was very crumbly which made it a bit hard to eat & was really bland. It camewith butter (maple flavour I think??) So that added a bit of flavour but we probably wouldn't order it again. He didn't knowhow to describe the alligator but said it was good. For his meal he ordered the blackened catfish. It was very spicy & fatty. This was his first time trying catfish so we're not sure if it's supposed to have a layer of fat on it but either way he didn'tcare for it. I had the fried chicken which comes with 2 big pieces & was more than I could ever eat so he just took a piece ofthat. I would definatley order that chicken again but look forward to trying other things next time we go. Read more

First time here. Best cornbread I’ve had in my life. The alligator sounds scary, but it was awesome as well. Waitress was... amazing, great customer service. Called in to make a reso, was super easy great customer service on the phone. Place did seem alittle dead when I went, but again great staff great food. And half price bottles of wine on Wednesday’s! Came here for a belated mother's Day. We went to the downtown one years ago and it was excellent. This location didn't... disappoint. Very cool interior decor, very friendly service and that food for a decent price makes this place a great place tocelebrate. Read more

Went there for the first time today and must say, everything tasted fantastic. I normally have low expectations whenever i order... nachos from an establishment, but this time it was hard for me stop digging into this mountain topped with shrimp, sausages andthick slices of fresh jalapenos. The service was also great! I'd finish a drink and almost immediately get a replacement! Read more

Great food and awesome service. We were there for the oilers play off, game 1 . The place is just beautiful, love the... chandeliers. Their pecan crusted brie is the bomb. We also tried their Dem Bones and crab cakes. They were both delicious! Alsotheir special for a jug of beer and nachos for $27 was so worth it! If you are looking for a place during game night and greatsouthern food, I would recommend this gem. Read more

We went there to celebrate Mother's Day brunch. We were seated quickly and drink orders were taken. We asked for a virgin... bloody caesar however we were told that they were out of caesar mix although we saw one delivered to the table next to usshortly after our order went in. Appies were ordered. Crab and Sweet Potato Beignets and the Claiborne's Crab Dip. TheBeignets were a great disappointment. Expecting something light and fluffy it was very dense and unappealing. The best thingabout it was the peach slice. The Crab Dip was the big hit. Flavorful and delish the only drawback it that there was far moredip to bread. We had to ask for more bread which we got for an additional charge. Mains arrived. The New Orleans Seafood Gumbowas a miss. Expecting something spicy and plenty of seafood it was bland and only so so. The Lollipop Cajun Chicken Wings wereovercooked and dry. The big hit was the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy. The Southern Fried Chicken was a miss. Presentation looked likeit was thrown on the plate from across the room. The menu said chicken breasts however it was a thin chicken cutlet. A smallsquare of dried out cornbread stuffing which definitely needed the gravy. At 28.50 give this a big miss. The Muffuletta andWaffles did get a thumbs up. Disappointed to learn later that they were offering a Mother''s Day special menu however we nottold about it by our waitress. Read more
