Actual rating is 3.5 stars. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. I found the brisket to be very tender but... needed a bit more flavor. Also i like to see a nice crisp crust on my brisket. This was a bit soggy. The corn bread for mewasn't sweet enough. I like to see a nice denser corn bread with a bit more sweetness to it. Also leave out the chuncks of corn.The fries, beans, slaw, and bbq sauce were all spot on. Overall a decent meal. Read more
Walking in, the restaurant had a good atmosphere, and was full of wonderful scents. I fully expected everything to be just as... good as it had smelled. Unfortunately any flavour that could be spoken about was over shadowed by the fact that nearly everypiece of meat we had was dry. Even the dark meat of the chicken. Pulled pork, ribs, chicken etc, all of what was ordered was dryand hard to eat. The only pros we could enjoy, were the fries (those were some of the best fries we've had anywhere), the PecanPie and the sausage was the only meat not over cooked. The sides that came with everything might have tasted better, if wehadn't been so disappointed by the dry meat. Especially with how much we had spent on this, and the meat being the staple ofthe order. Hopefully this was a one time off day for the cook. And next time - if we manage to feel comfortable enough toattempt eating there again- it is just better. Went here for a family dinner/surprise birthday party. I called the day before to make reservations. The experience was so bad!... First of all, we had to keep asking the wait staff for more drink refills, and when we finally got our food, the waiter spiltBBQ sauce all over my brand-new dress. The best part was he didn't even bring me anything to clean my dress off with.Thankfully, my brother-in-law grabbed some. papers, and my sister-in-law had wet wipes for her baby. I managed to clean myselfup. The food was dry and over-seasoned. We will not be going back here ever again. The food wasn't worth the price and theservice even worst. We couldn't even get our table cleared by the staff when having desert they just left everything on ourtable expecting us to push our stuff aside to make room for our desserts. Read more
First visit . Everything was just delicious. I got a meal with brisket, ribs tips, cold slaw, baked beans, cornbread and... fries. My wife Kim got the Smokehouse Chili made with beef brisket - served with corn bread and corn chips. To start we hadDouble smoked, farmhouse sausage served with delicious choices of Bbq dipping sauces : mustard or tomato based. The portions arehuge! Got the daily special which is a generous portion. It was pulled pork with the mid special sauce on a soft bun and fries with a... Dr. Pepper. It was really good. Also got a piece of pecan pie and some cornbread. They were good. The pie was quite rich andperhaps too sweet which was a personal preference. The gentleman there at the time was friendly and the food came outpromptly. I liked the atmosphere of the place. It felt like it was more dinery. Good overall. Read more
