Stopped in here for brunch on Saturday and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodated us well. We had to... bring in a stroller for my nephew and they moved our table over to fit the stroller and not off areas they need to move betweenall the tables. Nitro Coffee - this nitro cold brew coffee was so good. It was smooth and not bitter. Espresso Tonic - thisdrink was very unique and the first time I tried it. Loved it! After the nitro coffee I was pretty wired. Sweet BelgianWaffle - the waffle was fluffy and airy, topped off with whipped cream and tons of fruit. It was delicious. Savoury BelgianWaffle - served with their delicious waffle, with 2 poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The organic chicken sausage was sogood. I usually get bacon so this was a nice twist. Huevos under the Wheel - because this meal was gluten free the buck wheatcrepe was gummy/chewy but that is expected. I had really high hopes for this place, as I'd read a bunch of good reviews. So had it on my list of places I'd been wanting to... try for awhile. Started out by the Server handing us menus and cutlery and telling us to sit where ever. She seemed to be theonly one working. So def understand how it can get busy. She took our order and the food came out rather quickly and was good.Unfortunately, though she didn't once stop and ask how anything was, or make sure it came out okay. We had ordered the baileysand coffee, so would have been nice to get a refill of water. She passed by and cleared our plates. Then we didn't see her foranother 20min. We had planned on ordering mimosas. However, rather than talking to us. She just brought us the bill. So I won'tgo back or recommend based on the service. Read more
Came here for brunch and it was lovely! The servers were friendly. The menu has a small selection compared to other brunch... places but the quality of each item was amazing. We got the sweet waffle and the traditional breakfast. The scrambled eggs werebuttery and flavourful, and the cream on the fruit waffle was very fluffy and just the perfect level of sweetness. The honeychicken sausages were also tasty. Scoring a window seat on a rainy day gave us the perfect cozy brunch ambience. Read more
The in-house orange juice is simply delicious! Very delicious! The colour, taste and tartness is perfect! Best homemade orange... juice in the city. The Belgian waffles are super tasty and delicious! Absolutely delicious, best breakfast around, period. My wife and I both had the traditional breakfast and wouldn't change a... single thing. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, great vibes from this little spot and truly can't wait tocome back. It's also home to great coffee and the best London Fog I've ever had. I love breakfast/brunch and have made it a point to try numerous brunch spots in Edmonton over the years. Under the High Wheel... remains my go-to spot. Food is always consistent. I've tried almost everything on their menu and everything is great. If youlike locally sourced, fresh, and simple but elevated food, this place is for you.
