We decided to celebrate our anniversary on this beautiful nice restaurant and let's start with the restaurant is very nice and... beautiful I really like that the kitchen is open viewed and whatnot, the service was good could of been a bit better but overall it was good. The reason for the lower rating is due to the main course food. We first ordered a entre with was the carpacciowhich was very very good, then we ordered the gnocchi which were very very very good, well be thinking of them for a while, butthen we order the steak and we'll it was good to be honest, I like my steak medium rare to rare and the first time it came outmedium, they remade a new one and the manager came with it and also apologized for it which was great, but again the steak cameout medium and even the manager said it was wrong. We still ate it because I didn't want to waste food but it was disappointing.The manager did come to us and gave us a gift card to come back so I'll hopefully be returning soon to give it a second try Read more
We went to the restaurant as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. We were put in a private room separate from the main dining... room. Our server was Tatum. The Caprese and Caesar salad were excellent. The main courses were equally as good. Overall wethoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our server was very attentive and made the evening even more special. What to say about Vivo? It was our first experience at the restaurant tonight. We had a group of 16 of us for a work outing on... the recommendation from a coworker and Vivo exceeded all of our expectations. The food was absolutely incredible, theatmosphere was outstanding, and the service was second to none. Alan took such good care of us and treated us like family rightfrom the beginning. ** Excellent experience x3 ** Our third time to Vivo since relocating to Edmonton. Vivo was first recommended to me by a... colleague for a special dinner. It exceeded our expectations all three times. Service is very professional across variouswaiters and staff. Food was outstanding, again, every time. Insanely small portions. The $97 steak and bass we were told were portions for two people. The full plate of lobster and ravioli... for $72 supposed to be “large enough for multiple people to share” had 10 pieces of ravioli and maybe 4 small prices oflobster which was overcooked and chewy. Both me and my friend’s plates were a bit dirty with food stains. Waitress was verypolite however very busy and paid no attention to us. Environment extremely noisy and crowded. Read more
Last-night was our first time dining at Vivo, as we heard great things and had to check it out. Vivo is a must-go place for... delicious Italian food and crafted cocktails. Our server was fairly new and she was delightful. We sat at the chef’s table andeveryone was very friendly and accommodating. If you like Sangria, I highly recommend the Berry Basil Sangria. The portions aregenerous as your server will explain so if you are wanting coffee and dessert later on keep that in mind. One thing I wouldsuggest is to have a smaller version of a dessert for singles dining alone as the menu is designed for family style eating. Keepup the great work!
