The best place in town for coffee, breakfast and brunch. The menu offers something for everyone and the owner takes great care... to prepare her offerings with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. She?s also a generous and thoughtful steward ofthe community in which she lives and operates her business. As I customer I appreciate that as much as I do the avocado toast(the only place I ever order avocado toast) and the turkey sandwich. If you haven?t yet been to Sacred Grounds, give it a go.You won?t be disappointed. Read more

I had such a great time here. I'm from out of town and chose this place because I'm a vegetarian. It did not disappoint. I had... the vegan biscuits and gravy and it was pretty good--especially the biscuits the eggs. It takes skill to make a good scrambledegg and this place knows how to do it. I also got an apple tart that blew my mind. To top it off I got a decaf latte which isalmost never as good as the real stuff, but this was probably the best decaf latte I've ever had. It's not glamorous but it iscertainly unpretentious and I really enjoyed my time. Read more
Sacred Grounds ins in a cute downtown area if Edwardsville, close to a city flower garden, and the bus station (to campus, St.... Louis, other destinations). Food is good, big enough to share. Staff are friendly. The Art on the walls is great (seeGogh-Getters online). It?s a crusty diner where you look around and find a spoon to use, not haute cuisine to impress visitingdignitaries?the kind of place we prefer, my wife and I. Read more
Sacred Grounds is my favorite cafe in town by far. The food is absolutely fantastic! Every time I come in, there is something... new and delicious to try. The atmosphere is lovely, a great place to meet with friends or read a book! Coffee to go, or to sipand relax. Amazing costumer service with a very personable staff. I love the atmosphere here! I order the everything bagel sandwich, avocado toast for carry out breakfast. Oh, iced coffee... of... course. Sometimes out of caramel so I substitute hazelnut. Food and drinks are always a hit! Read more
