The restaurant needs a serious deep clean, it's grungy everywhere you look. Even our tabletop that was wiped down wasn't exactly... clean. The food took a long time to come out and the dining area only had a few tables. I had the Spicy Beef stir-fry and whileit had lots of veggies it had maybe 6 slices of very thin beef. For nearly $20 it's not a very good value. It tasted good butthe portion was quite small. Overall I'd say you'd be better off going to other Japanese Hibachi restaurant in Edwardsville. Read more

My wife ordered us dinner online so she could pick it up on her way home from work. She called the restaurant when she got there... and they said it wasn't ready yet. Shes still waiting an hour later. She called again and they said they're still getting ittogether. It's ridiculous that's its taking this long. The order wasn't even that big. They wouldn't even give her an ETA. Iunderstand there's a staff shortage everywhere but an accurate time frame would be nice. Read more

Arrived 15 minutes after opening at 5:00. Only three tables occupied. Drinks came quick and one appetizer. However it took... 50 mintes to get seaweed salad and had to ask for it. Waitress thanked me for reminding her. Its a Monday but somewhat full by6:00 p.m. At one hour waitress said it would be another 20 minutes. We left. Sad, its always been so good. Read more

Tried to order carry out twice this week with no success. The first time the staff member said they were not accepting any more... carry out because they were short staffed. Tried again the next day (Friday) and was again told they are not accepting carry outorder due to staffing issues. This place used to be a solid option for sushi in Edwardsville. It has really gone downhill—lots of menu options eliminated, service/staffing issues and very limited hours. Now it’s gotten so bad they can’t even takecarry out orders. Wasabi has some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. I have tried multiple rolls at Wasabi in Edwardsville and I have not had... any that I can say I totally disliked. There have been a couple that were not my favorites, but they were still good. They do agreat in creating delicious food, whether it is their fried rice, or their miso soup, along with their sushi rolls. I highlyrecommend their food. Read more
