This is a solid Chinese buffet. Good price for what is offered. A lot of variety. Their Teriyaki chicken is really good.... Broccoli and beef wasn't. Broccoli boiled to mush. Not fancy, which is good when you are working and look kind of rough...It is a good quick stop. Everything is hot and ready when... you walk in the door. You pay as you enter, get your drinks, pick out what you want to feast on...and when you are finished,toss a buck or 2 on the table and you are free to leave. If you are short on time, it is perfect. You will get charged a $4 fee if you?re black. I cannot make this up. My boyfriend and I stopped by here for dinner as we were... driving through Effingham. As we made our plates, the cashier proceeds to hover over my boyfriend and tell him that ?there?s a$4 charge for leftover food plates.? Not only did we purchase the meal in advance, but we were also not made aware of thisexistential buffet fee prior to purchase. (No signs or written text either). We were the only patrons to be presented with this.Did I mention we were also the only customers of African American descent in the establishment? Been here 5 times in the last month alone. The freshness of the food is very hit or miss and that is why I give it 3/5 ?. The... inconsistency and the fact that they add the old food from their trays back into the new trays they put out is superdisappointing. I have learned to go on busy days of the week during their busiest times to get fresh food (Friday nights,Saturday nights, Sunday lunches, etc). They charge $15 per dinner plate and that includes the dinner buffet and your drink. Iappreciate they clear our empty plates quickly, every time. When the dinner buffet is hot and fresh, it's definitely4?. Flattering photos included in my review from today's Easter Sunday lunch. By far the worst food I have ever had. The egg drop soup was green. The peanut chicken looked like it had hairs cooked in it.... The rice was hard and cold. We asked for our money back and the girl at the register acted like we had been there for a longtime. Even went to see how much we had ate, if we really had water and questioned why there was fruit on one of the plates. Theydid refund the money after embarrassing my mother.
