Worst food poisoning of my life here I came here with my boyfriend and after eating had some stomach pains but pushed them off.... I ended up vomiting a dozen times that day, the most in my life, until it was just dry heaving. I ate almost nothing the nextday except a few bites of applesauce because I didn?t want to get sick again. I don?t have a lactose intolerance so it must havebeen something in the ice cream. Pretty good flavors and lots of toppings to pick. My only negative thing was the girl working there. Right after we would use a... machine, she was right there to make sure the handle was all the way up and clean it. She seemed irritated and I would'veappreciated if she waited until we were all done to wipe them down. I was at one machine and she was pretty much standing withina few feet waiting for me to finish as I went on to the next one. Just made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was bothering her. Read more

Menchies is the best! It is one of the best spots in San Diego for fro-yo. The flavors are delicious and they have great... toppings. The staff is very helpful and sweet and makes things easy. I also love how they are very involved in the community. Atmy local middle school, they served menchies there. I also think they did it at the high school. This was my first time coming here, I seen the special for kid's happy hour on the window and door when I was driving in the... morning in the area. I was excited to pick my daughter from school and bring her here by 2pm after our library trip. I walkedin, Katie politely welcomed my 2 kids and I and also informed us of the promotion. Explained the the 8oz was for the kids andthey can fill it up and be a flat $3 each. I filled up our 8oz bowls and as I went to pay, Sam, then asked to weigh the cupsand said there would be a charge of $13.03, I was surprised because I was under the impression it would be $3 each flat and ofcourse perhaps tax. I told her that the other girl, Katie, told me they would be only $3 and I thought these were kid sizes(they were); Sam then said no all of the cups are the same size and so therefore will be charged accordingly. I said ok I'llpay the price but I won't be coming back here again. I sat my kids down to eat their treats. They're still eating as I typethis review and since I sat down other customers came in and only paid $3 and not have to weigh the cups. Not oneemployee,Katie or Sam, has came up or acknowledge their error and offered a refund. So therefore I am extremely dissatisfied intheir customer service and Menchie's can have the over charge as my donation in hopes they would offer customer servicetraining. I was in this establishment for 40mins, not once was apologized to for their error as they charged all kid's bowlsonly $3 flat after my transaction and Sam said absolutely nothing to me. I drove almost 6 miles to just come here to have anice treat with my kids and instead I spent my time to enjoy with kids posting this review. Next time I'll be supporting afamily owned local business closer to home back 6 miles away from Menchie's. Read more

First and last time going to this location. The girl working could not have been less interested in helping me. It's also ... important to know basic math, and be mindful of what you enter in the register. My order was $12.21, I gave her $22.21, mychange should have been $10. She entered $22.01 and told me "the register says $9.74." There are plenty of people that would behappy to have that job. Read more

The kids LOVE it! They love this place beyond measure, beyond 5 stars, beyond a trip through the candy cane forest. Everything... is set up with the utmost thought and care. I just don't care for the froyo. But they do. But I don't. Except for the DoleWhip, and sometime Fruit Punch. They have daily specials which are awesome. For example, fill up your cup for $3 or $6, Insteadof weighing it. There are toppings galore from which to choose, and they're all fresh! Read more
