We stayed several days at the resort (we were there for a high school reunion), and we ate at the Red Tail several times, for... breakfast lunch, and dinner. We ate in the Bar area, and we ate in the restaurant. The food was great, and the service wasfantastic. In the morning, we were always met by the hostess Audriana with a pleasant greeting (which is so important firstthing in the morning!) and directed to the dining area. Hannah (GHHS Class of '17 !!) was so very pleasant as she took our orderand served our food. Same with Debbie. Just a very cheerful personality. How nice it is to be greeted by name! A special shoutout to Lewis. We saw that he was bussing tables and generally helping out in the dining room one morning, and we had noticedthat he had been serving our group in the two on-site reunion venues the previous two nights. I commented on the fact that wehad seen him several days in a row, at all hours of the day. I asked if his employer was caring for him as well as he was caringfor the guests, and he confirmed that, yes, they were. Several staff members commented that this was very much like a family.Wow. Kudos to management. Whatever you are doing, please keep up the good work. Read more

I used to eat here at least once a month because the food is actually really good, but the last couple of times they've gotten... my order wrong and didn't care to correct their mistakes. One of the times they messed up and forgot two of my food items, theysaid they'd give me double next time but didn't.This last time they messed up my order, it was near closing so the kitchen wasclosed by the time I noticed, and they claimed they would have someone call me the next day regarding it, but I never received acall. When the food is kind of expensive, I'd expect much better treatment than what I've received. I doubt I'll be returning. Read more

A co-worker and I spent the weekend at the Singing Hills Resort ... the last time we were here (7yrs ago), it was the Sycuan... Resort. We returned to play golf on the Oak Glen and Willow Glen courses as well as Cottonwood nearby. We ended up having threemeals at the Red Tail Bar & Grill; breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the Huevos Rancheros and Black Forest Benedict forbreakfast; these dishes remained unchanged, at least in our memories. My only nitpick was I wanted the English Muffin toastedmore. For lunch we had The Red Tail Club Sandwich and the Chorizo Flatbread. The latter looked like the Crispy Chicken Naanexcept for chorizo replacing the chicken. My co-worker loved his dish. My club sandwich was less successful ... the ingredientswere not distributed evenly so there was no aioli or tomato on two of the pieces and no avocado on the other half. The frieswere good. We returned for a third time after an unsuccessful trip to Sycuan Resort and Hotel because the restaurants, we triedto go to almost all of them, were stymied by: a) Bull & Bourbon being completely booked; b) a hostess that didn't seem to wantto seat anyone at the Viewpoint, c) a mechanical problem that closed the Pink Buddha, and d) Elicit Lounge was closed. So, westarted with the Crispy Artichoke and Grilled Asparagus ... delicious! My friend ordered the Specialty of the House, a 10ozPrime Rib; it came only medium or higher, and I had the Achiote Chicken. The prime was served with whipped potatoes, seasonalvegetables and roasted garlic ... horseradish sauce was extra. My chicken came with hominy corn succotash and a lime cream saucethat hinted of curry; it was delicious! I had two gin & tonics; they were okay and inexpensive at $9ea. All in all, Red TailBar & Grill is a decent place for a meal; service is good; it' s convenient to the Singing Hills Resort and you can charge yourmeals to your room. A bonus, we received a $50 credit when we checked in. Rating? A solid 3.5 out of 5. Read more

The food is good but the people who work there seem unhappy to be there. I noticed that the servers only take the order and... collect the check. They don't do anything and expect a tip for that no thank you. The bussers do so much running around, I hopethey get compensated for their work. Definitely not worth going back because of poor service. Read more

Sadly this experience was the absolute disappointment of our weekend. We were so excited to come over from the casino for their... Friday night BBQ and music series. We had the most terrible service. We waited for over 30 minutes for waters and to have our2 bottles of wine opened. We were told it was $25.00 corkage fee that we agreed to that but our server couldn?t find an openerthen when he did dropped it on our table for us to open own wine. (At $25 a bottle??!) Then our salads came after waiting 50minutes and 3 out of the 4 did not have dressing. The explanation was that only 1 of us told him what dressing we wanted. Soooothe other 3 of us get salads without dressing ? Not his job to ask I guess! I asked for salt and pepper and after 10 minutesasked to borrow from another table. Our friend went inside to ask for a pitcher of water and then we still waited and waitedfor it come. It?s just disappointing for some who ALways GIVES THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT to any server, to at least try. Try.That?s it. Have some hustle? tell your table what going on?we are spending several hundred dollars and really just need waterrefills and to take plates away. At this point we asked for the manager. He came out with a HUGE attitude and continued to askwhat we wanted him to do!? He said he could take 1 meal off the bill or he could use his 20% discount on our check. After wechose 20%, he came back to say that he wasn?t able to do that and that he was graciously taking off 1 of our corkage fees. Sobasically all of this hassle and horrible service and food and they took $25 off the corkage that we actually opened ourselves!Super sad to end our evening like this. Read more
