We went to The Habit in Rancho San Diego to eat tonight, 12/1/22. We went inside to order. There were 3 kiosks being used and... it was taking them some time to order. There was no one at the counter, so we decided to order there. The restaurant was notbusy. We waited for several minutes before finally being asked what we wanted. I stated that we would like to order. Theyoung man said that he would not take our orders and that we would have to use the kiosks. By then there were several morepeople in line and the original people putting their order in were still there. Amazing, I have never been turned down to orderfood. I had a C/C, I had cash, just no service. I have to say that we have eaten here before and really enjoyed it. With theirchange of policy and customer service, I doubt that we will be back. I am still in unbelief...amazing. The only reason they aregetting 1 star is that it won't let me post without clicking on it. Read more
1st time visit, I grew up in Rancho San Diego an never had the opportunity to enjoy this burger joint. Glad they are back in my... old stomping grounds. Delicious burgers and very filling. Hard to believe they been around since 1969 an I'm only hearing aboutthem now. Open grill cooking concept similar to 5 Guys. Read more
I was very happy to see the Habit come to our neighborhood. The food was fantastic and I have a new favorite guilty pleasure...... the burger on toasted bread. It was their version of a patty melt with avocado, and it was delicious! Read more

When in El Cajon, stop in at "The Habit" for a most excellent dinning experience!! Fantastic Food, Service and Atmosphere. I... recommend using the (Mobile ???? Order) so upon arriving pick up and go!! I DON'T recommended using the (Drive Through) youwill be waiting 30-45 minutes (or more especially on the weekend) in line and then have the headache of getting out of theparking lot!? Dinning in is nice but (mobile orders and to go orders) will have preference over in store diners. So may wantto make that order to go!? The "Habit" will become your HABIT today!! I have came here a few times since it opened and I have enjoyed it every time! I loved their kids char burger because I like my... burgers plain. Their chicken bites are also very good and the restaurant is clean and modern. A big improvement from the BurgerKing that was there before! Nice variety of burgers. Outstanding sushi grade grilled ahi tuna sandwich! Great chicken sandwiches both grilled and fried.... Vegan options are wonderful and a nice variety of salads, French fries and sweet potato fries are nice compliments. Read more
