Went here for take-out lunch around 12:45pm. I ordered directly at the front cashier. The place was not too crowded and the lady... said it would take about 20-30 minutes. The price for the rolls are affordable, so I decided to order 3 rolls. I waited close to30 mins until I got my food. - Shrimp tempura roll: good. Shrimp tempura was crunchy. The sauce was kinda overwhelming thesushi. - Spider roll: delicious! The big chunk of soft shell crab was crispy. But again, I wish they didn’t put too much sauceon top. - Dragon roll: delicious! Generous avocado on top but the unagi was just small amount. Overall, good sushi rolls thatare affordable. I wish they didn’t slather the sauce on top of sushi as it was overpowering the roll itself. I have been looking for a new sushi house. I was torn about trying Umi between the complaints of a long wait and claim of great... sushi. LET ME TELL YOU the long wait complaints are down right lies! It does not take 1.5 hrs, it takes maybe 20 minutes and anysuper busy great sushi house takes at lease 20 minutes. The service is fantastic, the food is fantastic and the other patronsare friendly! I came here as of a friend's recommendation, and I have to say, it was amazing. I got the perfect rainbow roll, the orange... blossom, and the fire dragon roll. I have to start this by saying the perfect dragon roll is a must-have when you come here. Itis amazing, though note, the end pieces are a bit big, so take that as you will. One qualm I had was that the sushi wasn't cutall the way for only the perfect rainbow roll, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Overall, the customer service has beengreat. This is the new standard by which I will judge other sushi restaurants. 50% off rolls is a common feature in the Sacramento... area, but these are both massive and delicious. We arrived just before the dinner rush and enjoyed great fast service and werecreated by friendly staff. Read more

Im a huge sushi lover. I like how they have a vegetarian/vegan sushi. If you're getting takeout, definitely say the name of the... roll. Delicious fresh rolls. Hefty portion for Teriyaki meal. Id get take out from them again. Be prepared to have to pay alittle more for good quality. Read more

This is a great place to eat delicious sushi. I loved how they prepare their miso soup. And they gave us a complimentary diced... orange after we had already paid the bill. The service was super great; very attentive but not to in your face annoying. Since Ihad never been their before I had asked the waitress what she recommended, after listening to what I don't and do like shesuggested the perfect roll for me. Definitely will be coming back.
