Good food, good prices. Manager's Special includes entree, two sides and a piece of bread. I've had the Luann Special before -... offered at 3 pm - and that is also a great price. Highly recommended considering prices going up elsewhere. Read more
To honestly tell you the truth, the last time I came here it was over 25 years ago I'm 51 now... I thought this place was... closed... but lo and behold this place is still here... so decided to have a go since I only had good memories from there when Iwould go with family... I was not disappointed... the selection of foods is enormous from salads, sides to main dishes anddesserts... I will be going back to try one of the dishes I use to fry back in the days, don't laugh but is the liver andonions... ?? Read more
Buffet style and a lot of tradition, both are big staples in Texas. Luby's has a long tradition and the walls oozes with it. I... like that aspect. Their line looks clean and the staff is friendly. I had the fried chicken. Good crunch and not dry, bitmore seasoning. The fruit was good. The mashed potatoes was just lacking something and the corn was generic. I was excitedfor the pie, good and sweet at first, but then half way through it had a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste that didn't allow me tofinish it. The tea was semi-sweet. The only other off-putting aspect was the floors, a lot of the floor space was dirty as ifthey didn't take a minute or two to properly address areas or floors before they sat down a new table. But honestly, I do likethe place and they are busy for a reason. I'd come back. Read more
The staff is very friendly, quick and helpful. The food is delicious and they have a good selection to choose from. They offer... beef, chicken, fish, enchiladas, chicken fried steak,etc. They have daily specials too. I like the LuAnn special after 3pm. Youget half portion of main dish and still get 2 sides and a roll for a reduced price. That's enough food for me. Don't likegetting too full so I leave room for dessert. Nice selection of desserts and salads too. Everyone gets to choose what they want,win, win. Read more
Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, not too many options for lunch/dinner. Had turkey and gravy and vegetables and a tres leches... cake (which was delicious) jalapeno cornbread is delicious! They also sell a cookbook so if you want any of the recipes orenjoy cook books it's really nice! Read more
We come here usually Wednesday or Saturday because we have a kid. She has free meal. ???? (Who doesn?t love that?) If you love... southern dishes, it?s the best place to go. I?m Asian, so I order LuAnn ( half an entree, two vegetables, and bread)?smallportion size. Pretty full already. Price is affordable. Ambiance is nice and place is clean. Read more
Luby's is as iconic as it is delicious, it will always be remembered by my generation as well as generations behind mine even... those to come! You cannot beat the love the chefs put into the food, makes it feel like you're eating a home cooked meal! Iwrite this in memory of my grandmother (Pabla Torres) as well as my Great Grandmother (Ana Figueroa) who we made memories withat Luby's every Sunday! They would love to talk to people and compliment the chefs upon each visit. In short you won't regreteating at Luby's and I hope you make memories just as I have!
