Gourmet burgers and more. A little pricey for a burger meal, but what can you expect from a fancy beach city. Food - tasty an... juicy burgers. I had the specified al Roscoe. It was overflowing with bacon and onion rings that I had to take some off toeat. BBQ sauce was dripping from my hands when done. Ambiance - trendy outdoor mall where the restaurant is situated. Casualrustic decor. Bright sunny day that you can people watch if sitting outside. Cost - a bit pricey for burger meal. We wereabout 30 per person. Nice set up. Preferred if I paid afterwards, but it is what it is... soft bun with a nicely kneaded beef patty: tasty. The... parmesan & truffle fries consisted more than 40% of the short, oil-drenched spuds which were... well... I dont think I've everleft so much of any basket of fries untouched. We haven?t been to this location in a while. We are happy it is still there. The burgers were good. People may balk at the... price almost $10 per burger. I think the large bowel of fries was about half that. I ordered the cocktail of the monthhibiscus cranberry metzcal drink and my husband ordered a Not very chocolate shake with no whipped cream. ( the second shakeactually had no whipped cream) You stand in line to order your food while you are waiting another employee assigns you a table.You get to the cashier and order your food and Pay with electronic means no cash. However they will take cash tips?.hmmm . Thecashier makes note of your table and your food gets delivered. Remember to ask for water, you need to get your own water andsoda. The burgers were good. The fries came out soggy and cold. My boozy shake never made it out, but the staff was nice and refunded... the drink. A server never came to check on us. We had to flag someone down. Read more
I've been to Hopdoddy a few times when I wanted to treat myself to a pretty good burger--even if it is a little pricey. This... evening I ordered a meal from their website and had it delivered while I was in a meeting. After I received it, I opened up thelittle to go box that my burger was in and there was sauce and lettuce all over the bottom. It was a wreck. I wasn't sure why itwas like that, but that should have been a sign to turn back. The bun was soggy because of all that sauce. Who does that? Didanyone even care? Then, I bit into the burger and noticed that it was raw inside--RAW! Not to mention it was completely cold. Icould understand if it being cold if I had it delivered a really far distance...but I was .2 miles away. Anyways, I called therestaurant and the phone just rang and rang and rang...I almost hung up, but finally an enthusiastic young man answered and Irequested to speak with the manager. I'll withhold the manager's name here because I can tell he was only doing what he wastrained to do. He asked if I wanted them to remake the burger and I didn't feel comfortable with the current staff handling myfood. He told me if I wanted a refund that I would have to contact Door Dash. Wait...what?! I told him I ordered online throughHopdoddy's website--not Door Dash. He said since it's delivery, I am paying the delivery service and not the restaurant. Even ifthat's true, that's not my problem. Hopdoddy is choosing to use the 3rd party delivery. Also, I know that I entered my paymentinfo on Hopdoddy's website--not Door Dash! At any rate, you can see the state of things when the people charging you $37 for aburger and fries can't apologize for the mistake and would give that customer the runaround to receive a refund when they gavethat customer unsafe food. Love their parmesan truffle fries and nacho fries! They also have great shakes (can be made boozy)!!! The el diablo burger is... super hot. So if you?re into spicy food, you should definitely try it out.???????????? We tried it with black bean patty and ittasted so good! The burger is super filling as well. Read more
