I visited North Italia (the Irvine location) around 12:30 on a weekday for lunch. There was a short 15 minute wait and we were... seated inside quickly. The restaurant was packed at lunch time. Very recommended place! The prices are good for the quality foods and drinks they offer. The drinks are strong, which I really... like about this place. The price for drink is a bit high, but you won’t need to get the second one in many cases. The servicewas amazing too, in addition to beautiful seating areas they offer. I was looking for a spot near the airport to grab some food and the good ole’ “restaurants near me” prompt guided us to... North Italia El Segundo. Swanky spot. Good energy. Great food. Started with the Truffle Garlic Bread. Yum! Ask for some marinarato go with that! Spicy broccolini is zesty & fragrant. Strozzapreti Pasta with Chicken was delish. The restaurant is one of the top restaurants in the area as per google recommendations, so we came here. The service is great... and the restaurant is full of people. The idea of the dishes are great, but I’m used to more authentic Italian cooking whilethis was more like casual restaurant that italian, the ingredients were or and the pasta was too soft for me, other than this,the appetizers were great and I liked the creative dishes they make. Italian spot that’s good for business meals as well as for families. I’ve been to the one in Santa Monica quite a few times... because I like the chicken Parmesan, but found the Manhattan Beach location to be as equally good. Free lot parking. Creditcards accepted. They do offer a happy hour with a limited food menu on weekdays. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Came herewith a couple of colleagues for a working lunch on a Thursday, and our waitress was a good mix of attentive but giving us enoughtime to chat. I got the squid ink pasta, which wasn’t spicy as it purportedly was, but our waitress gave me a side of redchili flakes (very thoughtful!). They do have salads for those who are more health conscious, but the majority of the food isdense. The bolognese is a good option as well. Overall, it’s a solid place if you’re craving some carbs. We went to celebrate a birthday and ordered over 12 dishes. To start wehad the Cacio e Pepe pizza which was excellent. For mains we ordered the Squid Ink & shrimp pasta, salmon, shrimp scampi,chicken dish and several salads, which honestly were all excellent. For dessert, we ordered the Hazelnut Torta, BUTTER CAKE(omg!!!!), warm Italian Donuts, and Tiramisu along with several scoops of Gelato. Cozy italian restaurant at the Point beautiful outdoor mall, has outside seating overlooking the beautiful landscape and center... piece of the mall.
